any tips for cleaning empty tanks?
by DukeOfNYaNumba1 » Wed Sep 28, 2011 8:37 pm
Hello, I just got my Inferno Tankomizer and I'm loving it, but I got a little leakage into the mouthpiece. Blank tanks are cheap thankfully but I still want to make them last as long as possible. Are there any tips for cleaning them, especially from getting the little bits of fluid stuck in the mouthpiece out? Should I just not bother trying to get them brand spanking clean as long as they still work? I mean the fluid is a concern but other than that it's not making a mess and I'm not tasting it with the vapor (I don't think).
Plus, how long should I realistically expect tanks to last me? Just so I know how much to order next time I order my juices?
I'd greatly appreciate any tips on making my tanks last as long as possible if can provide them, thanks.

the two bevels in the mouth end of the tank come out and allow you to clean any and all juice/condensation out of the air chambers.
The juice you see in the air chambers is more likely condensed condensation from vapor that was failed to be drawn out of the tankomizer and tanks air chambers. To help prevent this try letting off the button a second or two before you stop drawing off it. this will ensure that all the vapor is pulled out and no more condensation in the air chambers.

When you say mouth end of the tank, are you talking about the end that you draw from? I have noticed a collection of fluid there that I am hoping to get rid of because otherwise I feel stuck using the same flavor in that tank. Also are there any videos or instructions for disassembling the tanks for cleaning without ruining them...I am prone to overlooking the seemingly obvious and fear I would ruin a perfectly good tank in hopes of cleaning it

Yeah, Artist Boy is talking about the end that you draw from. If you stick something like a bent paperclip or small screwdriver in the hole you inhale through, angle it, and pull gently, you can pop the little plastic baffle out. Then under that is a second one. This will give you direct access to where you see the juice collecting, so you can clean it.
Here is a random video I found on YouTube showing what plastic pieces these are. (The video is for an Inferno tank, but the Magma tanks have these pieces too.) Note that the video calls this the "bridge" which is WRONG. The bridge is something completely different... so don't pay any attention to the text or description and just watch the video. http://youtu.be/mUB6EjwxbIc

I am actually working on collecting all my vaping knowledge for Volcano products including cleaning, tips and tricks and writing it all out in one long comprehensive post. It will have diagrams and pictures, I may do some videos once it is done and add them tot he posts. I have been working on it for a while now. I am getting close to being ready to release part of it. The part on atomizers. then batteries, then chargers, then misc. other tips and tricks I have learned over the years.
