Any Videos or Information for getting good vapor production?
by VaperAL » Thu Feb 24, 2011 11:36 am
Hello everyone. My magma should arrive tomorrow morning and I am an extreme noob to vaping. I ordered blu foam cartridges (pre filled) because I heard they are the way to go. I need some help or tips on how to inhale and get good vapor production. I have heard you are suppose to "prime" with your first puff, by taking a very brief drag, wait a second, then move onto vaping? Do I do this everytime I take a drag? Will I run into any vapor production problems when I get midway through the prefilled carts? any advice would be helpful, be patient please, I am very new to this.

With any cart you're going to run into some wicking issues. Blue foam is better than the polyfil ones but it doesn't beat dripping (which you'll learn about browsing the forum. A lot of us still use that method even with the tanks in) Make sure you drink some water before trying to vape so you have plenty of moisture. As for priming, I'm not sure how to prime an atty with a cart so someone else might have to help you with that one but I'd suggest putting the cart on and waiting a few minutes before vaping, give it a second to soak in you know?
Straight? So's spaghetti until you heat it up!

Now dripping is something i have been wanting to try for a long time. What do I need to buy?
The stainless steel drip tip....
E-juice....
anything else?
Does the drip tip go directly on the atomizer and do you remove it after you drip in the liquid? can you point towards a tutorial on how to do this?

You just pop the drip tip on the atty instead of a cart - same way. Add 2-3 drops of juice and vape happily ever after for about 5-7 puffs, then drip again. It rocks. You want juice anyway to refill your carts. So easy to refill those - just add juice when they get low and vape away. Saves money, too.
For using carts, tilt the LED end up at first so you don't get a mouthful of juice. After a while you can put it back down level. When you start losing flavor/vapor, flick it like an old-timey thermometer. Check it soon after this b/c it may be getting empty.
Have fun!

if your using blue foam carts than you shouldnt really have to worry too much about priming the atty...i always just throw on the cart then wait for a second LED tip down (but not for too long, you dont want to flood the battery) then you should be good to start vaping. have fun with your new magma! theyre awesome!

The biggest thing is that you'll inhale differently than you did with analogs...low and slow...pull just hard enough to get the light on and then take a slow drag (so the atomizer has time to vaporize the liquid)...it's the key to good vaping
