Volcano has some of the fastest shipping around. I live in California and I love being able to buy my products Friday night and have them here Monday. Got to love being 3 hours ahead and of them!

Seems FedEX had other plans for my item..
Looks like it left HONOLULU and flew over me by 6 states to MEMPHIS. Seems kind of odd but I am sure it will get here Tuesday.

Memphis is the main hub of Fed Ex, pretty much anything you ship Fed Ex will go to Memphis then to where ever it is going.
Just think of it as, ever last package is hand scanned by a zombie Elvis....LOL

Hm.
Last package I bought from here went straight from Volcano to Sacramento. Maybe they had some priority over night.

no I can almost 100% guarantee it did last time as well. Just sometimes items are not always scanned at every hub and/or updated into the customer database. but if you call them and ask where an item is cause say your tracking shows nothing. they have a more detailed database they can check to see where the item is if it is actually been shipped. Most of the time with Fed Ex you get all the hub scans, but not always. But everything goes through Memphis, from HI. The plane will stop in Cali and refuel and then continue to Memphis to unload even though Cali has a sort facility things from Volcano all go through Memphis first.

Anytime. It took me a while of working with Fed Ex to wrap my head around some of their policies. There are still a few I can't understand, like the one that they will sit on a package in your local area until the estimated arrival date even if it shows up early. Why call it an estimate arrival if it mean you are gonna hold it till that date? There are a few more, but I will keep them to my self. But no matter what they still are waves above USPS is getting things done and done right.
Oh and you can't forget UPS with the no left turn policy.... I know totally unrelated to the topic but it is still funny. and only works in busy areas, but they use it anywhere and everywhere.

I had no idea what u meant by the no left hand turn thing but after reading up on it..wow
I mean I know UPS was messed up but wow.
My father used to work for a company which serviced UPS trucks.
They have a patent on that color Brown on there trucks.
They also require the inside of the wheel wells are painted..
When a UPS truck crashes they immediately tarp it. Strip off all the decals and paint it white.

you would be amazed the things shipping companies do. I was when I started working for a on line company and dealing with shipping companies and shipping errors/issues.
I had know about UPS and some of their issues just from news reports and articles I have read over the years. Every one knows USPS has massive issues. But I was amazed at some of the weird quirks Fed Ex has. But even though many of them dont seem to make sense to me they seem to work for the most part, and they get the items there in a timely fashion and almost every time in one piece.
