When did you order your kit. This sounds like the old version of auto batteries to me...the "new tech" is less sensitive and does not activate unless you actually pull on the battery...I would contact customer service if you ordered this kit recently and the batteries are that overly sensitive...

I got the kit back in May. Could that be the older batteries?

Might be...if I were you, I'd give customer service a call and see what they have to say...if they don't answer (I don't think they're in yet b/c of the time difference), leave a voicemail with your name and a number to reach you at. Worst that happens is you get some suggestions, best that happens, they give you some great solution...

Back in May it is most likely the old tech autos you got we just got fully switched over to the new tech in August. Pretty sure all CS will tell ya is to pick up some new batts to fix the problem. But they might do something for ya.

I have 2 volcano batteries that are just as sensitive, in a sense it is a blessing but I do make sure to always remove my atty and cart from my battery when not in use. I now use the Inferno and was using the magma, but I do enjoy the volcano from time to time. I think removing the atty and cart is good habit anyways, have you tried that?

I have tried unscrewing the atty/cart when I'm not using my ecig and that solved the problem that I used to have of my batteries dying just from getting bumped around in my pocket. However my biggest problem is the issue of not being able to use my Volcano outside (which is the only place I am allowed to at work.) I am going to call cs when they open today since I have the day off today and see if they can offer some help with my V-Kit, because I would like to still use it, but in the mean time I put together my own Magma kit with a pair of manual batteries, a pack of cartomizers and a few other goodies. I'm sure I won't be disappointed in the Magma, I just hope cs holds up to their great reputation and offers me some sort of a resolution for my V-kit (There's no worry in my mind that they will.)
Thanks everyone for your help! I'll be sure to come back with an update on what customer service was able to offer me as a solution.

Bad Battery?
by Milton666 » Mon Oct 11, 2010 3:18 pm
Hey everyone, I got my Magma about two weeks ago and I love it. But it seems like I might have gotten a bad battery. One of the batteries is hard to activate, it seems like I have to suck much harder to get it to come on than I do the other one. It also only seems to work if it is rotated a certain way, I have to spin my Magma around until just the right spot to get the tip to light up and produce vapor. I haven't dropped it or anything but I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem or if maybe it is something I can fix on my own before I potentially send it back for a new one. Thanks in advance.

that sounds like a sensor problem, some of the new tech auto batts seem to be like this. They do seem to loosen up after some use. But to sped it up you can try this: remove the atty from the batt, then suck on the threaded end of the batt as hard as you can for a few seconds. Do that a couple of times and put the atty back on and see if that helped. you might have to try a few times to get it better. if this fails to work you might want to contact CS about it.
