I am not sure why it does that, some times mine will do that to. But I still get the same amount of charges out of it, and once it is drained and I recharge it again, it will be fine.

BTW: I think I'm getting obsessive about cleaning my atties. I have 4 of them as of now, and I have them on a cleaning rotation so they all get cleaned every other day. With this hurt them or extend the life of them or make no difference whatsoever?

I clean mine about every 3 or 4 days, and my attys from 7 months ago are still working like new, it also depends on the cleaning method you choose to use. Some methods are rougher on the attys and will break down the inner workings faster than others. If you don't clean them it will shorten the life of the atty a lot. one by gumming up the coil and giving you less vapor and flavor, and by using a clogged atty it will put more strain on the coil and will cause it to burn out or pop faster.

my cleaning method of choice is just near boiling water soak for 15 minutes and the a blow out from the threaded end, and let dry over night.
Using Crest Pro Health or rubbing alcohol is reallt only needed to clean a clogged atty, or to get rid of a flavor that just wont go away.

hope that answers some of you questions.

I usually clean mine every 2-3 days. I have an ultrasonic cleaner, but rarely turn it on, use the basins for holding the alcohol and mouth wash. Typically, I'll soak in the mouth wash for a while, blow them out, then rinse with hot tap water (I have my tanks set to VERY hot) using a pair of tweezers, then blow them out again. Then I'll let them sit in 91% isopropol for at least 15 minutes. Blow them out, rinse, blow and repeat if necessary. I'll usually wait until I have a couple of atty's needing cleaning. I'm thinking the magic trick is to blow out as much as possible before going onto the next stage.

I don't have too many, but over the next couple of months, I want to have a good rotation to where I'm doing my maintenance on Sunday, cleaning about a half a dozen at a time. And with my workstation going to the garage, I'll have a pan and stove out there just for boiling water.

I do have one atty that will need a bit more TLC, one with the training wheels from when I started. If it could be vaped, I vaped it. It's really looking like a clogged vein after a lifetime of McDonnalds. I'll be trying the vinegar method to see if I can get some performance back.

im lazy sometimes. ill ape the same atty for 10 days sometimes. sometimes 2 days if i think the atty is dirty or just isn't vamping right. i dunno. i look at it like this, if it aint broke don't fix it. so i just do it when i think it needs it. maybe 2 days, maybe 15 days. whatever. though i never went 15 days, lol. im sure i will at sometime.

i have a question about the usb charger, when i charge my batter through the wall unit or the computer, the usb charger blinks red and green slighty before it ever turns solid green...heck i dont remember ever seeing it turn solid green. i always get worried because i read in my magma manual that when it blinks lk that, it's draining the battery. words of wisdom from some of the veterans?

They have said that these are smart chargers and will not damage the batteries. My charger does the rainbow of blinks before it turns and stays solid green. Have to wait for the green to have the full charge...this array of colors is not unusual...just means your close...but close only counts in horseshoes, hand-grenades and sex...

My batteries only seem to last about 15 to 20 drags. They say they should last about 100. I have noticed that they last even less when I charge them with the USB charger as aposed to the V-pack. But even charging them with the V-pack they seem to die very quick. Do I have defective batteries or is their estimate of charge length just hype too? Also some times when I take a drag it seems that I have to suck really hard to get the LED to light and get any vapor. Is this a defect?

It's my understanding (from people's postings) that it is common for a volcano battery to last about 20-30 mins with steady vaping. The length of battery life is impacted by the way in which you vape as well. Others can probably give you more ideas. If you're concerned that the batteries are not performing up to expectations, you can always contact customer service and ask. They're great about addressing questions.

As far as the battery not firing or requiring a little effort get a drag, sometimes the batteries can be finicky. I think there may be some suggestions in the battery thread in technical issues as well. Not sure if you have "new tech" batteries but they can also be a bit harder to get started (seems like there's a break in period) as they are less sensitive.

Ok, as far as the battery charge, that can be very subjective. Alot has to do with how you smoked analogs. Personally, even with the analogs, I dragged really deep, I'm talking Gulf Oil Well deep. So, I would get about 20 or so drags on a batt charge normally. Also, brand new batteries tend to hold slightly less charge then ones that are broken in, so give the batts a couple of days; but before you charge them, make sure that they are bone dry, then let them charge back up. For some folks, they get more drags because they don't drag as deep, or as often. Everytime you take a drag on the batt, it generates heat. The more heat you create, the more trons are lost to friction. When I started, I'd get a short life on my PV cause I used it like an analog. Now after some relearning, my batts last longer as do the carts.

Now having to drag harder on the batt. This sounds like you got some e-juice in it. It happens, sometimes the carts are overfilled, sometimes because of gravity and the way the e-cig is held. A good rule of thumb is to hold the cart down (especially with a new cart) to help prevent that. How to fix it, well, the best fix reported thus far is to stand the battery upright on a paper towel with the led up, to let any e-juice drain out. You can also blow into the led end, and help the juice out. You should see that the draw isn't as difficult.

Hope this helps a bit.
