Canned air on atty

Postby starketcher » Wed Oct 13, 2010 5:56 am

I had a stopped up atty, was getting a bit desperate (at work with no spare) I got canned air and held it to the threaded end and gently blew it out. It worked great. I've only done this twice, but have had no problem. Has anyone else ever used it and have you dried attys with it?
If it has tires or testicles, you're gonna have problems with it!

I know I've heard people make mention of it, haven't tried it myself...

It's actually what many of the manufacturers recommend for cleaning.

Just be careful doing this way, with canned air if you use to long of bursts you can get the atty too cold and then if you put the atty back on and try to use it when to cold the heating of the coil from use can weaken the coil. If you clean it that way just make sure it is back to room temp before use.

I would be very careful doing this ....make sure you are not dispersing anything other than air into your atty....every can of air I have has a bitterant to discourage inhaling (huffing)...as well as other chemicals that are not to be vaped I'm sure.
