Carto and Clearo Mod

One quick ProTip for everyone:
With the CE2 cartos and clearos, take the coil cap off and nip off the little inner ring that extends down into the ceramic coil cup with some small fingernail clippers - that bit is what always gets burnt due to being in direct contact with, or too close to, the coil, and is what makes a carto or clearo taste like burnt crap - removing it allows only pure juice flavor to come through, and it doesn't leak or flood after you do it.
You have to carefully turn the coil cap inside out to do it and nip little pieces of the lip off at a time until they're all gone, but it's well worth the effort - you'll notice an immediate improvement in draw and flavor!

Thanks for the tip.
I keep looking at the brown burnt spots on that cap and keep thinking "that's not right".

^^I know, right?! I have many that are burnt that I have tried and tried to clean, thinking they were dirty. Nope, just fried. Great tip, Madd!

Does it work better then flipping it over and inserting it up side down? Thats what I do and it helps a lot.

I tried inverting the silicone cap, but that resulted in lots of juice leaking into the air channel. Granted, that would happen when I laid the rig on it's side, but unfortunately, it can prove pretty difficult to keep it in a vertical position all the time.

If you have something like a 'leather punch' that works nicely too. One of those gizmos that is basically just a hollow metal tube that you whack with a hammer to make belt loop holes. Get one just a little bigger than that inner hole and just whack out that seal. Makes a nice round hole without ANY effort! Also works well for enlarging the 'notches' for the wick.
Someday Volcano will come out with its own brand of clearo, that has all of these issues taken into consideration... SOMEDAY!!!
