deleon517, Perhaps I was a little hasty in my response. Yes, a 1.5ohm Carto can handle 4.1V. What we were calculating was the maximum voltage that the Lavatube would deliver based on the fact that it has a 2.5 Amp cutoff switch. The A in the formula simply stands for Amps, much as V stands for Volts. I assure you that the formula stated is the same exact formula that Shado used to set up his chart. ( I x R = E ) or ( Amps x Ohms = Volts ) I would assume that the Lavatube's cutoff Amperage of 2.5A was chosen more in order to protect the battery than to protect the coil in the Carto. The coil inside the Carto can be thought of much like the filament in a lightbulb. It will heat up and cool with use and eventually weaken and fail.

I frequently suffer from a poor choice of words, commonly referred to as "Foot in Mouth Disease". For this, deleon517, I sincerely apologize.

Lol...both of you are correct.

Del...yes, you can go up to 4.2v...but..that is because the LT offers a little bit of leaway in its board calcs... and....the atty/carto will have some variances.

Symon....yep...that is why it is called Ohms Law....cant change Law. ;)

My chart is just a reference for folks....the 2.5 amps was highlighted for quick visual reference....and the switch limits.
