The other day on my 3rd cleaning and about the 12th filling of this Mega Cartomizer, I Desided to mod it slightly ( I think this was one of Shado's ideas) I cut the feeding holes (wickholes?) out of the silicone gasket on the sides and made them larger, in more of a square shape as opposed to the triangularish shape that it came with, this made it much easier to replace the gasket, and allows better wicking.
I mentioned something about this in another thread but I just wanted to add that MAN! This thing works great! The flavor is on a par with dripping! And so far NO LEAKS! And I realize now that these are much more durable than I first thought.
So don't give up on these too soon! I regret the several that I have thrown out, if only I tried this sooner!

How big did ya make the holes? Like up to a millimeter or even bigger?

Just make them big enough that you know the wick is in NO way pinched.....

Yep rattle....that was one of the reasons for me vid.......I am still primarily and most likely will be a continued Carto user.....all of them.....metal, clearo, LR polyfill, etc.....

I have heard and read about this mod in a few places now. Leaking was my primary concern. Now that I know it can be done with with little to no leaking, I am going to give it a try.

Oh man, got me some on order as I type. I've read so much about them...the problems and the wonders. Can't wait to fire one up.

I think I got this I-Tanko thing licked, but I'll always look for some new toys. And a week from tomorrow...who knows!

Just to add.....I just "retired" my first two Mega cartos I opened up back at the end of September that have been in use on the same two super Infernos since then.

They were retired not because they stopped working, but I felt it was time to start with a few new "fresh" ones...the old ones still performed at about 85%-90% of new. Not bad, considering that there has been volumns of juice ran thru them, an average of 3mls daily in each.....

Are you saying that you enlarged the round holes that I would slide the needle down into when filling the tank? What did you use to cut it with? Did you enlarge the holes all the way through the gasket? How would this help the vape, I thought this was just a fill hole. I want to try this along with the tea bag mod.

In those...it would average between 75/25 and 70/30....since I used the same juices in them only. My juices came 100% PG, double flavor and double nic strength ( Old West, and 555.....from Dawn).....I then cut them with a premade bottle of just 50/50 no nic.....fill about half with each....sometimes I would not get the ratio's exactly half & half, so, thus the variences.
