Chinese drop-ship

Postby balthisar » Wed Dec 14, 2011 12:14 pm

I just got a call from customer service; the package I'm expecting today won't have my clearos. So now I'll have $100 of ejuice that I can't vape when my current clearos die. :(

I'm only on home leave a few more days, and the representative said clearos would be in sometime next week. That ain't going to cut it.

When I asked about shipping to China, there was all kinds of talk about waivers and so on. I decided on a refund instead.

These things are made in China. Can't you just have your manufacturer drop-ship them to me in China? No customs hassles, cheap shipping for Volcano, and I won't be stuck with juice I can't use.

Doing something like that is something you would have to talk to our CS about, but the factory doesn't like shipping small packages as there is a minimum number we have to place before they will ship to us.

Is your reason for being in China military? If so then there should be no issues at all shipping it to a military address, like an APO

Oh, my! I didn't realize we had our military there! ;)

Automotive. I live there now.

Actually, for three years, I might be able to satisfy the minimum requirement!

Well I don't know, I don't keep track of all the places we are. I was just guessing since you said you were on leave, you were armed forces.

I'm sure we're in places that would surprise both of us, but China would be especially surprising. But don't sweat it, that's what the wink was for.

When I was in the military, it was "leave," but you could go anywhere. Expat workers usually have a very specific benefit called "home leave" for the express purpose of getting home -- that's where I'm at for the next few days. And no, you weren't expected to know that. I was just completely unclear. I didn't mean to come across as snarky.

You would think, but analogues are so damned cheap in China, and there's no public sensitivity about smoking, and so many people smoke, that there's not much of a market. I did manage to order some juice there, and I suppose I might be able to find clearos online there, but I've gotten to know and trust Volcano for almost a year that I'm hesitant to trust anyone else. Getting the juice was particularly fun; it was a Chinese company, but they weren't at all set up to accept Chinese money or ship to Chinese addresses. I give them a lot of credit for taking care of me in my time of need!
