I agree the food grade isn't necessary, but clear shrink tubing is a must. But a fix is on the way with the thicker tubes. The only issue I have with that is the cone fitting. The Inferno is a nice looking device and the cone helps make it so. Thicker tubes may not allow installation of the cone. Volcano needs to test this prior to distribution to avoid this issue. New cones may be in order.

Yeah, if the tube is designed thicker towards the outside the existing cones won't fit, if towards the inside then the metal base would probably need to be redesigned. We'll find out soon.

BTW, someone mentioned earlier in the thread that some non food grade tubing may contain lead, just something to be aware of.
