Recipe for Menthol drops - Standard Concentration

Place crystals in TWO baggies, one inside the other, removing as much air as possible.

Use a straight sided drinking glass/coffee mug or rolling pin, crush crystals as finely as possible.

Measure crystals, add 1 part crystals to 4 parts PGA (method A), PG (method C), or 50/50 blend of both (method B). Use a glass container with tight fitting lid.

Method A
With all PGA base, agitate until all crystals are disolved. Ready to use immediately.

Method B
With 50/50 blend base, agitate until all crystals are disolved, will take longer than all PGA, may need to sit overnight, etc. until all crystals are disvolved. DO NOT HEAT.

Method C
With PG base, set glass container in a basin of hot water, allow liquid to warm up, agitate, repeat until all crystals are disolved.

Safety Note: Be sure you are using FOOD GRADE pure menthol crystals, not aromatherapy grade, which may contain impurities!

Watermelon/Blueberry

10ml @ 16mg / 20% VG content - Drops based on 33 drops/ml

2.7ml (89dp) - 60mg Nicotine Base - 50%PG/50%VG -27%
1.3ml (43dp) - 50%PG/50% VG - 13%
3.5ml (115dp) - PG - 35%
.6ml (20dp) - PGA or distilled water - 6%
1.2ml (40dp) - TPA Watermelon - 12%
.7ml (23pd) - TPA Blueberry Extra - 7%
.03ml (1dp) - Ethyl Maltol 10% w/PG
.03ml (1dp) - Agave Nectar 10% w/PG

Adjust Agave Nectar (sweetener) if desired

Shake & Vape!

This one is another fruit combination and an introduction to a new Flavoring supplier some of you may not be aware of. This one got a thumbs up from someone that received it as a sample recently, so if you are into fruit combos, you should give it a try!

Apricot/Peach - 10ml @ 16.2mg nic

4.5ml 36mg PG base - 45%
1.1ml PG - 11%
2ml VG - 20%
.4ml PGA - 4%
1ml Faeries Finest Apricot Extract -10%
1ml Faeries Finest Peach Extract - 10%
1 drop Ethyl Maltol in a 1:10 PG solution (33 drops/ml)
1 drop Agave Nectar in a 1:10 PG solution (33 drops/ml)

Shake well and vape!

This is a recipe for that annual Yuletide favorite.

Peppermint Candy Cane
10ml @ 18mg nicotine level

5ml 36mg nic in a 50PG/50VG base (50%)
2.5ml PG (25%)
.5ml PGA (5%)
1.2ml TPA Peppermint (water soluble) (12%)
.8ml Ethyl Maltol -10% solution or TPA Cotton Candy (8%)

Sweeten to taste.
In this recipe I would typically use 6-8 drops of Agave Nectar in a 10% solution per 10ml

Note: You can also substitute spearmint, or wintergreen flavoring, or any combination of all three mint flavorings. Be creative!

OK, time to put another one up for everyone-

This is a very versatile recipe for a basic Fruit/Menthol mix.

10ml Strawberry Menthol - 16mg nic - recipe based on 33 drops/ml

4.5ml PG nic @ 36mg
1ml PG
2ml VG
.4ml PGA or Distilled Water
1.8ml TPA Strawberry Flavoring*
.3ml Menthol drops **
1 drop Ethyl Maltol 10:1
1 drop Sweetner 10:1

optional - 1-2 drops mint - spearmint, peppermint, or even one of each


*This one is for a Strawberry Menthol, but you could substitute virtually any other fruit flavoring, such as Watermelon, Blueberry, or, if you are really brave, lemon!

*use 1 part menthol crystals and 4 parts PGA to make standard concentration menthol drops

Ok, after all the reviews I've gotten from this little dish, here's the actuall recipe and some notes for it. The way I'll post my recipies will be with the ingredient's ratios, then how much is used in the finished recipe; that way you can adjust the VG, Nic, and PGA to your likeing. Then, I'll give the outright recipe that I use (I'll calculate using 50mg/ml Nic, but I actually use 100mg/ml)... PM me if you need adjustments...

I spent some time experimenting with this one, looking for the right flavors. The Chocolate was the hardest to find. TPA had just came out with an improved version of thier dark bittersweet, which became the perfect match. Because of that, I've probably have 7 different chocolate bases sitting in my drawers. As far as the mints, I'm finding Flavour Art being the best, but many of the other venders flavors will work, might have to adjust the proportions a tad (not by much I'm figuring since mints tend to be rather strong accross the board).

The final note, after eating MANY actual YPP's, I think I found the flavors and effects that were missing. Just a dash of menthol added the 'ice' effect that blows you away when eating a YPP, and a dash of Spearmint highlights both the Chocolate and Peppermint very nicely. To sweeten and smooth the recipe out, I use TPA's sweet cream (in just about everything!).

York Pepperming Patty

FlavourArt:

Peppermint Flavor: 5 parts
Spearmint Flavor: 1 part (Those who got samples, this was left out of the recipe card I gave you)

The Perfumer's Apprentice:

Bittersweet Chocolate: 7 parts
Sweet Cream Flavor: 4 parts
Menthol Liquid: 1.25 parts

Flavor base is best at 20% of overall recipe, will work as low as 15%.

10 ml batch / 18mg strength

• VG (30%) - 3ml
• PGA (8%) - 0.8ml
• 50mg/ml Nic Base (36%) - 3.6ml
• PG Filler (No nic - 6%) - 0.6ml
• Flavorings (20%) - 2.0ml total

  2. TPA Bittersweet Chocolate (38.4% Flavor) - 0.77ml

Ok, this one I was dying to find. Had been trying many of the other ones out there, but there was something missing (from most of the pie flavors I tried). Well, I figured out what it was, the CRUST! Spent some time on this one too, turning to our friends over there at TPA for that missing ingredient. This really is one of my personal faves, but can be a bit tempermental. If you let it sit TOO long, the flavors do tend to bleed together too much. This one is best mixed in smaller quantities, more often.

Of the ingredients, I've only found one really good meringue flavor, by FlavourArt. A bit more expensive, but well worth it (I usually by a few more flavors when I order, to justify the shipping costs, through LibertyFlights). Wanting to add a little bit of originality to the dish, I added Key Lime. I've tried others (and though it probably was a bad batch, the stuff from TPA had contaminates - doesn't stop me from all her other flavors!) the most flavorful came from Lorann. Although I used FA for the original Lemon base, TPA does fill in nicely without any adjusting.

Lemon / Key Lime Meringue Pie

Meringue Flavor: 4 parts
Lemon Flavor: 3 parts (TPA is good substitute)

Ethyl Malto Concentrate delute to 10:1: 5 parts
• TPA aslo has "Cotton Candy" that is same as deluted Ethyl Malto (10:1) and works well. Haven't tried other sweeteners

Flavor Base best at 15% of overall recipe, at 20% flavors start becoming overpowering.

10ml Batch / 18mg strength

• VG (30%) - 3ml
• PGA (8%) - 0.8ml
• 50mg/ml Nic Base (36%) - 3.6ml

It's been a while since I posted a recipe for everyone, so I'm a little overdue.

Here is a recipe to duplicate the Peach Pina Colada I mixed up for Spoon recently,
which he gave an excellent review of here-

Since Spoon liked it so well, and I was also quite impressed by this flavor pairing,
I'm posting the recipe for the DIYers that might want to try it for themselves-

Peach Pina Colada - 10ml - 16mg - drops based on 33drops/ml

Nicotine 36mg 45.00% 4.50ml 148drops
PG50%/VG50% 15.00% 1.50ml 50drops
PG 15.50% 1.55ml 51drops
PGA 6.00% 0.60ml 20 drops
TPA Pina Colada 17.50% 1.75ml 58drops
DeKang Peach 0.91% 0.09ml 3drops
Ethyl Maltol/10 0.61% 0.06ml 2drops
Sucralose/10 0.61% 0.06ml 2drops

Note that the DeKang Juicy Peach Flavoring I use is extremely concentrated, only 3 drops for 10ml needed here! If you are using something much weaker, adjust according to taste, and then take the equivalent amount of liquid out of the PG to be added.

If the overall flavoring starts to go above 27%, you probably need to lower the amount of Pina Colada to help compensate. This will produce a slightly less flavored but still entirely vapable juice.

And you could certainly use this recipe as a base to try other flavors combinations with the Pina Colada. Strawberry would also be a great choice I think!
