Faster drying of Clearos, Cartos, Attys and Tankos

Postby snottyragsdale » Mon Nov 07, 2011 4:01 am

Instead of waiting 24hrs for my clearos and whatnot to dry after cleaning, I now have to wait only about 6hrs. I live in a small space, a space that's around 50 degrees in the winter, so I found, bought, and am now using a "candle heater". These things are awesome! Since I've been using them, I thought, what the hell, why not put a couple of cleaned clearos on top and see if they dry faster. They did. For anyone interested, check 'em out here: http://heatstick.com/_KanHeet01.htm

Not a bad idea and it would look good on the end table.

I followed that link and saw that the outside of the candle heater can get to 160-180 degrees. I'd keep a close eye on any parts that have plastic as that could possibly warp them.

I'm using liquid candles, which get the heater warmer than a normal jar candle. I've done this multiple times, and haven't had any warping. I flip them every hour or so. You're right, you should keep an eye on them...but you should keep an eye on any candle anyways :D For some reason, the top doesn't get as warm as the lower sides (I think cuz heat comes out the bottom, as well as radiates from the sides). And while it does get as warm as they say, it will NOT burn you, and your clearos should be just fine. Trust me, I'm cheap, I get all I can out of all my clearos, cartos, attys, etc, and would never do anyting that would lessen my enjoyment of them.
