FedEx delivery

I'm expecting my first shipment on Monday, via FedEx. My question is: do Volcano FedEx shipments require a signature for delivery, or will they leave them at your house if you're not there? I've had some deliveries that they wouldn't leave until I was there to sign for it, other times they'll just drop off. I'll be at work all day on Monday, and DON'T want to miss my package!

Good, that's what I was hoping. I'd hate to come home from work on Monday and see a post-it note on my door instead of my package.
Anyone else have a different experience? I would think the packages that you must sign for are at the direction of the shipper, so I assume all of Volcano's FedEx packages are sent the same way. At least that's what I'm hoping.

I've never had to sign for my packages. They usually just leave them at the door.
Don't take life too seriously because you're not going to make it out alive anyway.

For me they ring the doorbell, and have me sign, but if i take to long they just leave it....

I have to sign for mine, but I live in an apartment complex and we have shared stairwells so it is by FedEx policy that I have to sign for mine. They will not leave it at my door unless I miss them the first time and I fill out the forum on the back side of the door tag and tell them it is ok for them to leave it.

Fedex didn't even have my apt office sign for my package. I don't know if that is Volcano policy or Fedex policy. Now I'm waiting for a Monday delivery.

Unless specified on the shipping notes that a signature is required, then it is up to the delivery person to decide whether or not he feels the package will be safe to be left, or if he feels like going to the apartment office. Some of them don't want to take the extra time out to do so, while others will drop the entire complex's packages at the office and have them put notes in their mailboxes saying it's there for them to come and get.

I just chase the truck down and tackle the driver and demand he show me where my package is and give it to me........
