My friend absolutely adores his..he is a chronic over-dripper and this has helped him not to have such a mess when that happens...I'm guessing there's no way the cone will work with one...

So....what happens to the "over drips"?
Do they get recycled somehow back into the atty?
When you remove the shield, is this when all the excess juice takes the oppertunity and makes its escape and run all over?

From what I've read, the excess juice is merely contained in the shield - if you're careful when removing it, it won't leak all over the place, allowing you to soak up the excess with a tissue a little easier. It only makes it more manageable - it does not recycle the excess juice. I think I'll pass on these, personally.

Apparently, it does allow the atty to pull at least some of the juice back in...and my friend says it is "a bit" messy to take off...but if you keep paper towels handy, it's not a big deal...mind you it's designed for the 901 attys that have a little hole in them that spits juice out...why they are designed that way, I have no idea...but if you have a mod without a juice well, it prevents the juice from running all over the mod if/when you overdrip...

That's true, too - for example, the Buzz has a substantial juice well on its end caps.
