Got my Magma Pass-Through today!

First off, Volcano's shipping is outrageous. I ordered this on Friday 3:30pm EST. Got it this morning via Priority Mail. Awesome!
Now, the PT itself...it's a little awkward holding it with a cable attached, but that passes quickly. Also, I've never used a manual batt before, I am now a convert. Must buy manual batteries when the other colors come in. Anyway, took my first hit with a custom blend of Caramel & Cream soda I've been enjoying. 1st off, it tasted stronger on the PT than battery I've been using. The TH was stronger, vapor was hotter and the cloud of vapor that was produced was vision obscuring. Outstanding!
I know there have been issues with the volcano PT, so I will be keeping a watchful eye on it's performance, but as of now, it's surpassed my expectations. Not to mention after paying only a few bucks after using my reward points, I freekin love this thing.

Toldya! They rock! With a manual you can get as light or as heavy of a hit as you desire. I too am waiting for new colors and will be pouncing on more manuals for my collection.

How many times do you think we've posted a comment like that about the manual batts between the two of us Spliner?
Gotta be at least a couple of dozen each, wouldn't you say?
Sometimes I wonder if they think we just make this stuff up to make it seem like we know what we are talking about!

as a convert myself you just don't fully realize how awesome they are until you try it. when buying all my initial supplies i went with the autos becasue for me i wanted as authentic a smoking experience as possible. now i realize that it's about much much more

There's definitely some nice aspects to the manuals and the pass through....Although, I do like the new tech autos much better....and I've also been using some of the ones from my original kit. I'm waiting for the colored manuals to come in, figure it won't hurt to have a few in stock LOL.

It's a pretty consistent characteristic that most of us, when we first consider making the transition from smokers to vapers, need the implied security that our PV's resemble an analog as closely as possible.
Hence everyone seems to start out with the autos, unless they have gotten advice from someone they trust that is a more experienced vaper, that has convinced them beforehand to go with the manuals instead. And a lot of vendors, Volcano included, do not offer anything but auto batts in their starter kits, so it really is the only startup option.
It's not really a bad thing, learning to vape on auto batts forces you to learn the low and slow concept, which is crucial to the quality of the vaping experience.
But those vapers that do promote the merits and advantages of the manual batts over the autos pretty much say one thing consistently. Manuals allow you a much greater level of control over your vaping.
I still use my Magma autos on a regular basis, but honestly, only because it is in my nature not to let them 'go to waste', which is certainly what would happen otherwise. All of my subsequent equipment purchases have included manual batts, and I don't ever see that likely to change.
Eventually I will no doubt probably trade all of my autos away to someone that is just starting out, and looking for additional backup batts, because I for one would have ordered the starter kit with only manual batts without hesitation it that had been an option. I also would have ordered them with non-red LED colors, but you don't want to get me started on that!

Heh, the nice folks at Volcano actually swapped out one of the reds and gave me a white led when I bought the magma kit. They're just awesome that way.
I DO wish, however, that the PT had some sort of LED.

Your comments definitely made my decision about getting the pass through. I spend several hours a day on the computer so I thought it would be a good idea, but I wasn't sure.
I better make sure I order the manual batteries with the LED colors as soon as they come in - they will be out of stock again immediately with all of us waiting to order.

Went on a road trip yesterday, Plugged in my new pass-through into the car lighter adapter and drove.
Spent 12 hours in the car with the pass-through 6 hours with Magma and friends. Got back home with 3 bars still on the M-pac, 2 full batts. Ready to Vape on! And a good vapeing experience all the way. These
products have you covered.
