Good list Mary. Since most of these items are nice to have (and some are absolute necessary), I'm gonna quote and link to my DIY thread (so that it doesn't get lost!).

That is when I figure out (if I can) go back and edit it. It's been a while since I've had to add to the first entry.

You might have to ask someone to edit it for you Superfrog, I can't edit the reply above yours anymore, so my guess is the edit feature expires after 12 - 24 hours... ;)

just an alternative for the paper clip tricks,already bent for you and very sturdy....... smalller one works great for the tanks in your tankomizer

My preferred tool is a 90 degree or double angle scribe:

Stronger than a paper clip, but the down fall is that the end is sharp, so if you're not careful, you can cut yourself. Always pull with the point from your body or it'll bite you.
Probably very similar to a dental pick, but bigger and meaner.
