If you're talking about the Juice, let us know how it goes.
If you mean the actual desert...here's my favorite at-home recipe: http://baking.food.com/recipe/baked-alaska-12937

Arclight wrote:Wikipedia wrote:Baked Alaska (also known as glace au four, omelette à la norvégienne, Norwegian omelette and omelette surprise) is a dessert made of ice cream placed in a pie dish lined with slices of sponge cake or Christmas pudding and topped with meringue. The entire dessert is then placed in an extremely hot oven for just long enough to firm the meringue.[1] The meringue is an effective insulator, and the short cooking time prevents the heat from getting through to the ice cream.
Its name was coined at Delmonico's Restaurant in 1876 to honor the recently acquired American territory.[2]
February 1 is Baked Alaska Day.[3]
And it is DELICIOUS!!!
So, strangely enough, I find two articles about variations on the baked alaska theme...figured I'd post them for those that may be interested:
Baked Florida - a key lime flavored variation

and a cupcake like peach version

There are dozens of variations. For instance the one you all pictured is a personal size with chocolate cake, probably chocolate ice cream with either mint, orange, raspberry or cherry included.
The full sized BAs can feed a table of 4 or more and look like a bonfire.

Hello everyone. My name is Kathie, I am 51 and live in Las Vegas. I must point out though that I consider myself a New Yorker because that is where I lived for the majority of my life. I have 4 daughters - all grown and living in different states. I live on disability and bred shitz-tzu puppies for additional income.
I smoked for 40 years and have vaped for one day. I am totally impressed and can honestly say I perfer vaping to smoking already. I have COPD (emphysema) so I am definitely ready for this switch.
I am technologically challenged and I am sure that I will have questions along the way. I am particularly confused with dipping and dripping. I get the general idea, but I don't think I understand exactly how to do it. I am going to Petsmart soon and will buy that blue foam just in case. I will continue to read forums and try to understand how to do things.
This forum seems great. I hope someday to be one of you experts.
By the way, know anyone who wants to buy 6 carton of cigs?
