My issue...

Postby Willis » Fri Jan 20, 2012 12:27 pm

I'm not trying to get up on a soapbox, before anyone says that.

Yesterday, I ordered the Lavatube and several liquids/tubetanks/etc, assuming that all would be well. I got off work, tracked the order, it was already in transit. I couldn't be happier at that point.

Then I started actually reading about things. It says on the Lavatube page 'Configure your LAVATUBE below as either a kit or purchase the device by its self if you already have all the accessories you need.' Simple enough, right? Well on the dropdown menu it has a single option: Device Only. So me being the trusting simpleton I am figured, "Oh well that's probably just a bug of some sort. No worries, I'll just order one anyway."

Come to find out, I've been shipped the device by itself. No batteries, no case, no atomizers, etc. Now that's all fine and well, I suppose it's my own fault for not asking questions before I ordered. But the fact remains the same, If you don't have it in stock put "OUT OF STOCK". I don't see where the disconnect is that that's so terribly difficult.

So I have a few choices. I can ship it back, wait another however many weeks until they get more batteries in stock (the only thing stopping it from being sent as a kit. Doesn't make much sense to me either, just ship everything else and say "batterys out of stock".) Or go out and find the batterys myself and send in yet another order of atomizers and the case and what not.

The lady on the call center was nice enough, no fault there. The customer service is fine. Just update your website to reflect what you have in stock. It's nonsense.

Hopefully you understand my frustration. It's infuriating that instead of doing the sensible thing the website just decides to say nothing at all.

i understand your fustration. but normally they would have two seperate options one for device only which is just that just the lava tube, and one for the kit. but since they are awaiting a shipment of batteries they remove the option for the kit. same as going to a coffee shop if they are able to provide certain things they just remove it rather then putting it with a out of stock sign.

i know it sucks, it happens to alot of us. to be honest most people wont like the 3.0 atty that comes in the kit, it works best at hv and if your not use to it. the hits can be very harsh, as for the case i was given my lavatube before the cases were available and its a stong enough mod to withstand a beating. i usually throw(literally just chuck it in there) mine in my back pack. now for the batteries and chargers these can be baught at other places or you can always wait a few days till the batteries are back in stock minght even be as early as today if not maybe monday.

I understand all of that, it's just such a little easy thing to do to say it's out of stock and have me not be mad.

Let's use your example. You go to a coffee shop and you order something right? Say "Oh let's have this" and they're out they'll say "Sorry we're out." Take that scenario and put it anywhere it'll still play out the same way. Just say "We can't ship the kits because we don't have any batteries." Would've saved me loads of a headache and frustration.

It probably wouldn't bother me if every other ecig vendor (5 others to be exact) have all at least once screwed me out of something for at least 2 weeks. It's like the industry is cursed to never do something so simple that would save time, money, and keep heads cool. As it is, I'm not going to be forced to buy something I don't want or wait what could be months to get what I'm looking for.

It just doesn't make any sense to me, put that you can't do it don't remove the option all together and make me assume it's a typo/dropdown bug. It's simple.

Configure your LAVATUBE below as either a kit or purchase the device by its self if you already have all the accessories you need.
The Kit comes with the following:
(1) Black LAVATUBE
(1) Black cushioned LAVATUBE carry case
(1) Flat Nosed IMR High Drain 18650 rechargeable battery
(1) Trust Fire multi-charger
(1) Black Swirl Acrylic Drip Tip
(1) 3.0 ohm High Resistance LAVATUBE Atomizer

If you read it, it's pretty obvious that the device by itself doesn't come with batteries. Pay special attention to that first sentence.;)

You're missing the point.. I don't know how much more clearly I can lay it out. I said it was my fault for the most part, but the least they could do is put "Out of stock of batterys, kits currently unavailable". It absolutely baffles me that no one seems to agree that's a simple concept.

Mod close this thread please.
