no they do not respond, trust me! I have called and emailed and no response...I have made 4 orders and all 4 have been late, paid for 2 day fed ex delivery, each one took a week, and Volcano has yet to respond to my many attempts....

Thats funny because I have placed a total of 4 orders, and paid for 2 day shipping each time and each and every time its taken 5 to 7 days to get it, and I have emailed them and they never responded as well as called and never get an answer or call back, are they EVER on time???

Fedex 2-day shipping is actually 3 day shipping from Hawaii. That's 3 business days, not counting the day it ships (or holidays). If you order on a Friday, BEFORE fedex pickup in Hawaii (around 2pm HST), your package will be delivered on Wednesday. That's how fedex (same goes for UPS) works in Hawaii. That's 6 days total, but completely within shipping regulations.

i only use fedex 2 day when i order before wednesday, or if it's free (over 100 bucks), and it always arrives the day it is supposed to. even with usps i have never gotten an order outside of 4 shipping days

There are 5 business days a week for FedEx unless Saturday delivery is available in your area. If you order before closing on Monday or Tuesday your chances of receiving it on Thursday or Friday should be pretty good. Allow 24 hours for shipping, then around 3 days for FedEx. I rarely pay for FedEx, USPS Priority mail, although I hate it sometimes, seems to be a bit faster because they deliver on Saturday. Since it is coming from HI, they almost never make the 2-day mark (FedEx). You'll be looking at 3, plus 1 for prep at the Volcano facility. Add a day onto that for FedEx slowdowns and you get 4-5 days. So unless I order on a Monday I never pay extra for FedEx. 7 days seems a bit extreme though, unless Volcano was just overly swamped and couldn't get it out in 24 hours. They are human like anyone else and do get slammed with orders at times.
