yup taste buds will get wonky the first month of so. Some people even got their taste buds back for a few weeks then woke up one day and everything tasted the same, took about a week then everything was fine and they were happy campers. Kinda like Windows 95, they just decided they needed to reboot and didn't come back till it was good and ready.

After a little while you will be able to notice huge differences between flavors. Some things you like now will taste funky and other you didn't like will suddenly taste good. Smoking really screws up what you mind thinks is good.

The only thing i have noticed is i cant tell much between the flavors. is that just me? or was it like that in the beginning for you too

With my first set of carts, I had to rely more on smelling the juice in the cart or atty to identify it than being able to find a distinctive difference in the taste of the vape...that improved greatly the longer the time since the last analog.

oh good i was getting kinda worried. haaha i was thinking maybe im just wierd but that makes sense that they would all taste the same throughout the time my tastebug are coming back.

Shortly after i started vaping soda became 100% disgusting to me. No mater what flavor, mountain dew, dr. p, rootbeer all of em. I dunno if it was the carbonation or what but after a few weeks i guess my tastebuds settled down and things started tasting better.

I started vaping with pretty strong flavors (menthol and clove) so I didn't have the "everything tastes the same" like many do BUT about a month in, I was making coffee as I usually do. Took one sip and realized just how strong and bitter I was making my coffee - um wow!! I don't know how the rest of my family could even drink the stuff!

Also be prepared when your taste and smell come back to be able to pick out a smoker from a mile away. I can smell the stale odor on a smoker no matter how long it was since they smoked - I can't believe I used to smell like that....

I hear ya there I've only been vaping a little over a week now and I can smell cigarettes quite strongly now and I cannot stand it. I even tried a cig after about 3 days of vaping and immediately put it out it just tastes and smells so gross now. I don't mind people smoking around me I just don't like the smell of it anymore whatsoever. Im glad I tried one after my 3rd day of vaping to because it really made me realise how much better and tastier vaping is. Not to mention healthier too which I gotta admit I feel great and have renewed energy now and breath sooo much better. Another thing I noticed to is that I used to have problems sleeping. I'd wake up in the middle of the night and end up smoking a cigarette. Since I started vaping I sleep the whole night through now peacefully...unless I had too much fluid before bed and nature calls of course lol. Im not sure if smoking had something to do with my sleeping problems or not but It's funny Im not having them now.

My problem is that about a year ago I switched to Organic American Spirit smokes.

Since I started vaping, every normal cigarette tastes like crap to me. Camels, Marlboros, whatever.

But American Spirits still taste good.

Damn it!! I'm still sneaking a few a day!!

Quick update Angie just went out and grabbed a few beers and I havn't had one for several days now and wow it tastes different I wasn't expecting that. I hope my favorite beer brands aren't going to taste funky now lol

I don't think beer tastes good at all...but I didn't when I was smoking either...

Taste and smell are just a couple of the benefits of leaving those nasty analogs. I've been vaping for almost 3 weeks, and have noticed even more big taste changes the last couple of days. I was worried for a while, I wondered if I was ever going to really "taste" different vapor flavors; hearing people rave about this flavor and that flavor and all the nuances, etc. Mine tasted very muted and was only getting a hint of the flavor it was supposed to be. I'm toking on some of the new volcano cherry lava right now, and it's a taste explosion in my mouth!
