Magma atty bath-FYI

Postby lorim » Sun May 02, 2010 6:16 pm

I finally realized that if I only bath my attys one at a time the paint stays on. I was putting a few in a tiny bowl and shaking them, they started to chip and peel. I've found one at a time is pro-longing the paint job. I use a triple bath method, 1 hourish in crest-pro health care, rinse under tap, followed by 1 hourish in 151 rum, rinse under tap, then 1 hourish in boiled water (about 2 cups to dilute any possible left over crest flavor) I only see funky floaties in the crest container so I'm assuming it's doing it's cleaning action,. Probably overkill, but I'm only bathing them about once every other week, I don't bath them until they start to produce less smoke and I'm turning blue trying to vape them because they are getting clogged up.

I threw my magma attys in the ultra sonic cleaner the other day with some vinegar. Worked great, completely clean. So clean in fact that the "paint" was gone too. It came off like reverse shrink tube. The bond between the "paint" and the atty was completely gone, the paint tube swelled, and it all came off in one complete piece. Not good.... But hey, at least they are clean right?
