I have a few Halo juices of unknown PG/VG that clog the tankos in a single day of use. 80/20 works fine, but will need to be cleaned more frequently. I have no problem going a full week of heavy use with all PG before cleaning. This is all assuming you don't do something to thin the mix, like PGA. I agree with ChuckB, I think its a viscosity issue.
It has recently come to my attention that Halo juices have a higher content of VG...not exactly sure how much or anything...guessing that's a trade secret...

I have used 60/40 in my m tank just to try it out.. It worked as long as I wasn't chain vaping. Only able to take one or 2 puffs, wait a minute or 2, primer puff and repeat. I had to clean out my tanko after doing this, it seemed to clog it up pretty bad.

ChuckB wrote:I'm currently using 90/10 DIY mix and it's working just fine in both my I-tanks and M-tanks. The viscosity is the real reason for the mix. You probably could use a 100% VG if you also thin it down with PGA or distilled water, but it's much simpler to stick close to Volcano's 80/20 recommendation.
I agree with this but have also found that a dark liquid will clog much faster than a clearer liquid, regardless of %. For example, I can go a couple of weeks on Volcano Tobacco Pure, an almost colorless liquid. Tasty Vapor Tobacco, a very dark liquid, in an 80/20 mix will clog up in a couple of days. I have had very good luck with Nitelite Vapor liquid in 70/30 AND 65/35 mix. Their liquid is very clear and thin enough to vape no problem with the M-Tanko.

Thanks to all for the replies. I've been doing a lot of experimenting with DIY juices and have noticed that the 70/30 seems to work quite well if properly thinned. I have also noticed the problems with the darker liquids gumming things up a lot faster. I'm not a fan of Menthol, but I hear that this seems to work better (kinda has a cleaning effect) in almost all atomizers. So very much to learn! lol
Thanks for all the help, it greatly enhances the learning curve!
