Needles are clogging and e-juice bottles leaking
by LindaB » Sat Jan 28, 2012 5:07 pm
Hi,
New here.I have the inferno with the clearomizers, most times I go to refill and push the needle through it clogs and then I cannot get the e-juice in. Plus the bottles of the e-juice are leaking all over the place, I have removed the other cap and put on the needletop but it still leaks all over the place. Also what is the soft blue tip for? Plus I have one clearomizer that I got 2 weeks ago when I purchased my kit and it came apart at the bottom, so put that aside, why has it come apart already?
Thanks for any help.
Linda

Also what is the soft blue tip for? that blue tip is for luer-lock type syringes, its really not needed since you have the needle cap
Plus I have one clearomizer that I got 2 weeks ago when I purchased my kit and it came apart at the bottom, so put that aside, why has it come apart already? are you putting these on the battery holding from the top? these are held on by a little o-ring and twist too much can make them come loose but you should be able to put them back together. its best to put on and take off holding the bottom area of the clearos. also you only want to put them on till they are finger tight theres no need to torque these down as that can cause connector issues later on.
Thanks for any help.

Yes, I mean the original cap that came on the e-juice bottle and yes to the dropper top, the guy at the mall showed us how to do this. But all three bottles still leak and a real mess!
About in the middle screwing on. The plastic covering over the bottom metal piece that screws onto the battery, slides up and down, so juice leaks out. The plastic covering should not slide up and down from the bottom correct?
Also what about the needles clogging up. My husband had a few acupuncture needles and he uses them to push through and a little piece of white pushes out. We are pushing needles down through the little holes, so don't understand???

When you push the needle through, it's probably shaving a sliver of the silicone seal, which is plugging your needle. As your husband found out by unclogging it. That's what I noticed.
Personally I think those needle tips are one size too large for the hole.
As for liquid leaking from the bottles with the needle cap on, I had that problem too. I found that it happened on only certain bottles, when I looked at the bottle top ( without the original dropper tip or needle cap on ) I saw that the top lip of the bottle was split on those bottles that leaked. . . the ones without a split didn't leak.
One solution is to buy an o-ring from a hardware store that will fit in the needle top top to help act as a seal.
As for the clearomizer plastic tube coming apart. It sounds like it may have cracked at the base.
Some people like to take the tube off and flip it over ( top to bottom ). Or you could throw it away ( they are meant to be disposable ) and use another one. Or you could do a syringe mod using 3ml. BD syringes ( BD is a brand/company name ) which won't crack, but you can't fit a cone over them.

This happened to one of my needle caps, it wouldn't fill and the bottle leaked. I ran a sewing needle through the metal part and now it works again.

I find I keep shaving the inside of the soft rubber cap for the needle off when I put it back on. Causing it to leave chucks of the rubber/silicone cap in the needle. I then makes it hard to get juice through.
As long as I am careful and pay attention to what I am doing I no longer do that, but I still do it once in a while when I am in a rush.

Yes, I actually tried it again today, my husband had been doing it. When I finally was able to push the needle through, it hit the threads inside and plugged the needle. Seems like there should be an easier way to do this. As far as the clearomizer coming apart, how would flipping it around help, it is like the seal is broke and do not want to fill it for fear that the e-juice will leak out into the battery, one time filling it and broke, not a good sign. So again, I guess will just throw it away. So far not impressed with this entire design. Might have to look into another brand.
Thanks,
Linda

linda as i mentioned yesterday the clearo that is loose will be fine as long as it doesnt fall off, when held up side down. and to prevent this from happening again only handle from the base where it connects to the battery.
you would only need to flip the clearo housing if you cracked the clearo near the base by the battery if not dont worry about that.
as far as what your hitting it doesnt sound like the little plastic piece that goes over the needle like ab is thinking.
if you can make your way back to the chat, and have a webcam, show one of us in there exactly where the needle is when you get these clogs. i taught it was when putting in the clearo, but there is no threading there. we want you to have stuff that works but you also need to work with us and be patient. getting frustrated or not having time makes it harder for us to help you and get you too be happy with things.
hope all turns around for you. i have been with volcano as a customer since sept 2010 and any issues i have ever had has been fixed and corrected. hope we can do the same for you.

I would love to add my two thumbs down for these leaky needle tip caps! I just used nearly half a bottle of juice to fill one magma clearo!
I guess I'll have to get some kind of a syringe. Any suggestions?

where is it leaking?
how long have you had it?
If it is leaking from around the needle or something, you should contact CS and they should replace it for ya. I have no leaking with mine at all.
