Since you're scheduled for a Tuesday delivery, you MIGHT be able to call FedEX and arrange for you to pick up the package Tuesday morning on your way out of town. There are a lot of IF's and Maybe's involved, but I thought I'd through out the possiblity.

Unfortunately I am heading the other way of the FedEx station. I checked in to that already.

O man...

Even on top of this the package is here already. Being held and was not delivered today because FedEx wants to hold it. Maybe I can go pick it up today....?

you might have been able able to. All depends on the sort facility it is at. Some do not have a customer store front. If yours does then you might be able to. Calling ahead helps cause they can make sure they know where it is for when you get there.
