New Style M-Pack Problems Resolved?

Postby whippetroy » Sun Jun 05, 2011 11:07 am

I have just returned my second new style M-pack for the same problems as the first, it goes completely dead when trying to charge a battery. CS has been lightning fast in responding, and the RMA process works without a hitch, but I wish I didn't have to test it so often. I thought this was a problem with the first batch, and had been resolved, but now I wonder. Anybody have any info?

I don't think the entire first batch was bad, it did seem to have a higher rate of failures though. Unfortunately in cases like this there is no visible way to tell if an electronic device is going to fail. It is rare for an entire batch of devices to be bad but there are many things that can cause a higher than normal failure rate.

I know it sucks to get a bad part and it sucks even more when the replacement is bad. The good thing is that Volcano will make it right and get you a working M-pack.

I know I got my replacement really fast. Problem is, I haven't even tried to use it! Been 100% Inferno Man since I got `em!

I purchased 2 M Packs and they both did the same thing. I have since called Customer Support and waiting on my replacements. I hope the replacements will charge on the go. One of the original M Packs did not work from the box, the light would not come on. The second one would not charge the batteries on the cigs.

The first 2 packs of mine failed. Good thing about Volcano is customer service did not. They say 3rd time is a charm, turned out to be true in my case. CS will will get you fixed up.

My first M-Pack was a dud, would try to charge a battery and it became unresponsive

Sent it back, took about a week, and got an email from CS that the PCC was a dud.

Sent me a new one, took about five days, got it today

Another dud. Put in a battery, and now it's dead

Wow

Seriously?

Sorry DougNg! Please stick with it CS will make it right. The problems have been with the manufacturer not Volcano. I know it sucks, but V is the best there is when it comes to the customer.
I have been lucky, my new M pack has had no issues, so I can tell you that once this issue is resolved, you will be happy with the new PCC.
As recommend by the many vapori here on the form: always have back ups! That's why I have everything V makes! Just in case!

I have been having power issues with my M pack. I have only had it a week and randomly it will stop working. No LED display or flashlight nor will it charge a battery. I thought the first couple times that the internal battery was drained. As soon as I pluged it in everything came back on showing a full battery. This has been going on the last 3 days. Twice today alone and it's only 1 pm. I contacted CS about it, so we'll see if they work for me like they have for the rest of you.
