New to Volcano and Bought the Inferno

Postby Chrissy » Tue Feb 07, 2012 3:55 pm

Hello, I have been vaping since 11-19-2011 and Love it. I started with and still use my V2 (KR808) but wanted longer battery life. I found a vapor store about 40 minute drive from me and went over there one day to see what all they had and to try out some juices and they had the Inferno but wow, wanted a lot for it and I like to research before I buy anyways so that's how I found Volcano. I ordered both the Tank and Drip kit plus a few extra things. I was excited to try dripping but found it just isn't for me so using that just to try different flavors of juice. The Tankomizer is okay but too hard to draw and the flavor seems muted. I removed the O-ring and the inside baffle but still isn't great to me. I have tried clearomizers on my kr808 but got tired of leaking and having to modify them to get them to work right so gave up on that. So the Tube Tank is my next to try and just last Saturday I found a smoke shop at the Mall only 20 minutes away (yayyy) that carries Volcano juice and supplies but they were out of the 4ml TT. Suposed to be in today but I haven't called yet. Will probably just run over there tomorrow. The owner was using a TT that Volcano had sent him to try and said he was going on two weeks with it and no leaking or fiddling around and he goes through 10ml a day, wow, I thought 3 was a lot. :P Anyways, excited to try them but I'm rambling. Have a few questions so here they are:

1. Can I use the 650mah PT with the Wall Wart? 2. Does the Voltage drop off or does it stay at 3.7V until close to the end of charge? 3. I would like to order some Volcano cartomizers (blanks) but they don't say what resistance they are and I am used to 2.6 - 2.8 on my KR's and like that range, Does anyone know what they are? 4. What is the draw cut off? I don't think I have reached it yet or it doesn't have one cause I have never had it blink on me.

I really like the feel and look of the Inferno and love the 5 click turn off/on as I have a side pocket I like to put my PV's in and was always worried about activating the buttons and burning the batteries out. Still can't believe I haven't had a smoke in over two months and no desire for one after 45 years of smoking 2 packs a day. Vaping is so much better and tastier!!!

Yes

2. Does the Voltage drop off or does it stay at 3.7V until close to the end of charge?
nope, they should stay pretty the same all the way through, the last few puffs it might drop and not hit right but that is like 2 or 3 hits really. The rest of the time it should be right around 3.7v (4.2v pluse)

3. I would like to order some Volcano cartomizers (blanks) but they don't say what resistance they are and I am used to 2.6 - 2.8 on my KR's and like that range, Does anyone know what they are?
they are 2.8ohm

4. What is the draw cut off? I don't think I have reached it yet or it doesn't have one cause I have never had it blink on me.
15-20second cut off, I do have one that has a 30sec.

The TT is the way to go, but make sure to use the 1.5ohm DCC when buying replacements. It is optimized to work perfect on the Inferno. As it is DCC it will drain the batt a little faster. DCC = dual coil carto

Thanks for the replies. I will be sure to get the 1.5 DCC. Out of curiousity how much faster will it drain the battery?

the drain will pretty much be the same as most lr style atomizers(lava lr and inferno lr) so it wont be too much of a difference when going from clearos to tubetanks. i still get roughly the same life span out of mine with the tubetank attached. also if your doing 3ml's a day you should be fine as far as battery life, it takes me a 650 and a 1000 for a days use but im one of those 10ml a day vapers

Thanks @deleon517, that's good to know. Called and they got the TT in so will run over tomorrow and grab one up. Love having a local supply in case of emergency.
