M & V-Pack Technical Issues Archive

If you are having a problem with your V-Pack(Volcano) or M-Pack(Magma), like it isn't charging, or the LCD Display isn't working, it exploded, ect.
You know... Problems.
Post them here.
This will keep all the Pack problems in one section, so it is easier to help you guys. Having 5 threads about the same thing will make the forum cluttered and difficult to find information, or receive assistance.
Try to keep this thread on topic, I will prune out needless posts to keep it as streamlined as possible.
And I do not care if you post repeated questions in this thread. I don't expect everyone to read through a billion posts to see if there is another person with the problem already resolved.
If you post a technical issue outside of this thread, it will be moved to this thread unless it warrants it's own individual thread.

Yes, but it is not recommended. I have had a lot of false charges while doing that.

Quick clarification question on the Magma PCC: Red LED is the ecig batt level and blue LED is the PCC batt level? Also, normal for a 4-5 second hold down on the button to get the ecig batt charging?

Evil Ernie,
The pre-orderd MAGMA V-pack has blue and red modes. Only the pre-orders got red and blue. All customers who have this in the future will get Orange and Red modes. When you hold down the right button for 3-5 seconds the V-pack starts to charge the Ecig battery. The battery bar indicator will always represent the V-pack internal battery charge left in both color modes. When the LED display changes from Orange to red or in your case from red to blue, your Ecig battery is fully charged.

Wall Charger - USB
by SilverBulletKY » Fri Mar 05, 2010 10:31 am
I know this wall charger is a usb cable going into the piece that fits into an outlet. Is it possible for me to just charge using a usb port? I have been doing this and it seems to take much longer to charge it but sometimes it's more convenient for me to do that. I didn't know if this would hurt the vpack at all or not. Thanks.

Doesn't hurt it at all. I charge mine at work like that.

Does the display stay on the whole time? I'm trying to figure out how to get mine to work. I've got a drained battery and when I put it in, hold down the button and get the flashing light, the display changes to orange and shows 3 bars on the battery display for a second then goes blank. Is it currently charging? If so seems odd that it's showing 3 bars when it's dead but I'm still learning how this thing works.

As long as you hold the button down until it is orange, it is charging. The bars are how much charge the PCC has itself, regardless of color. While the battery is charging, when you push the button, the light will come on orange. If you push the button and it is red, that means your battery is done charging.
