Problem with XL drip tip...
Problem with XL drip tip...
by Shoyu Chicken » Thu Dec 22, 2011 6:43 pm
Hey everyone, I just got a black XL drip tip for my lava LR atty. The problem with it is that it doesn't fit very snug on the atty...at all! It's so loose that when I turn my inferno upside down it falls right off
I have been using one of the short drip tips for a while now and haven't had any problems at all. Has this happenned to anyone else, or did I just get a bad tip? Any help would be appreciated!
Mahalo!

I have never had an issue with mine nor heard of an issue like that other than once or twice before. I would say hit up CS about it and they will get you a setup with a replacement. Sorry you got a dud.

The only thing is I got it at the kiosk in Pearl Ridge. I would just go back there and try to switch 'em out, but I just got knee surgery today and am heavily medicated. Do you think I could still go through customer service? Thanks AB!!

unfortunately no if you bought it at a kiosk we will have no record of the purchase in our system. Without being int he system we can not replace it through CS our system will not let us. All retail locations have to handle their own returns and you will need your receipt from the purchase.
Sorry to hear about the knee surgery. I hope you heal fast and the pain does not stay too long.

Sounds like the o-ring is missing. Is there an empty groove in the part of the tip that inserts into the atomizer?
If the o-ring is missing you can get replacements at the local Home Depot or Lowe's.

the drip shield is not the answer to the OP question. And personally I think the DS are not worth the money. They seem cool but I prefer dripping without it.
the OP's issue was just the DT didnt fit. They are made in China and they have bad tolerances at times the delrin type DT's can be loose sometimes, other times they can be so tight that I have actually ripped the the metal housing on the atty off trying to remove the DT.
