Replaceable atomizer heads for tankomizers
What you you like to see from Volcano next?

Just placed an order for five replaceable heads and a atty body. Tonight when I get home, I'm going to place an order from Volcano for the month, I need to wait for a response from my gf's father was serious about buying some Red Hot Lava liquid or not. I know if I order just after dinner the Volcano shipment should be on my porch Friday afternoon.
The place I ordered the heads and body from has a location in my state and thus I need to pay sales tax. Hopefully they'll ship it from their location in my state.
Anybody want to take a guess which one shows up first?
My bet is the one from half way around the world, even though the other place has an almost 12 hour head start and a fraction the distance to cover. Since they have no free shipping options, I went with USPS standard, again, if it's in state, it should be here tomorrow or Friday.

Quick update, I have my CC email me for every transaction (paranoid, I know, must be the one or two pots of coffee a day!), card was charged to JERSEY SHORE, PA which is roughly four hours away. I didn't know this when I placed my bet, but you do before you place yours.
Still betting the my juice and stuff arrives first, even if only by a few hours.

Holy crap! This morning when I checked the tracking number for USPS, it said "expected delivery 2/10/12". I was feeling pretty certain of my prediction since FedEx comes by my house about 1:00 p.m. and mail sometimes doesn't arrive before 4:00 p.m. (used to be 10:30, but I guess they combined some routes).
Out of curiosity, I looked at the tracking now (cause USPS tracking is not real time in any way shape or form) and it says it's out for delivery. I guess the other place is going to win. I shouldn't have given them a head start.
I've been wrong before and I promise, I'll be wrong again in the future.
I'm glad I didn't put any money on that bet.
Tonight, I'm going to buy a lottery ticket and I bet I won't win.

I was going to post an ETA, but I can't seem to edit my post.
I won't be posting on this again unless I find something undesirable, so assume "no news is good news". Got them last night, I was surprised how small the replaceable atomizers are. Slightly larger than an eraser from a #2 pencil - the whole eraser including the part inside the band. I had to use a pair of scissors as for leverage to open the body, but once the atty is in, it unscrews easy enough by hand. The completed piece isn't perfectly flush, there's a gap between the base and the top, that's my only complaint. It works great and I hope that these last about as long as the Volcano ones do. From what I can tell, internally these are probably a good replica of the Magma tankos ending at the spike., If I find out different after my first one dies, I'll let you know, but that's my expectation.
At roughly half the cost (per piece) of the other site's Ego-T price, the replacements are quite reasonably priced.
I really hope to see Volcano carry these in the future. One thing I could ask for is the body comes with an atty and priced to reflect this. That was my primary fear, buying the body and five heads for $40 to find out I don't like them. Fortunately, they're working great so far.
Three things that neither good nor bad. The Volcano Inferno tanks seem to be a very tight fit at first, I suspect that once you pop a tank on these, they'll be a loose fit on the Inferno tanko and may leak. The other thing, I also bought Joye EGO-T/C Tank (Type A) Cartridge Caps which are silicone just to try them. Unless I'm doing something wrong, they don't fit the Inferno tanks. Maybe I should have bought Type B? At $3 for a dozen (didn't count, but there's a lot), I'm not too upset about it.
I'm not sure if I want to use the Ego-T to puncture new tanks.
Again, I like this set up, I really hope to see something like it in Volcano's catalog.

Type A silicone caps fit my Volcano tanks just fine. I also am using Volcano tanks in the C bodies without any problems. The tightness, I think, is the silicone cap, it's a tad thicker than the regular caps. If I slap a Volcano tank with the normal bottom in a C body it's just like slapping it into an Inferno atty.
3 weeks into the C and so far I have not needed to soak any atttys at all. They just don't seem to plug up or get a 'hard' draw so far, and I run a fair amount of juice thru them daily.

Tried the caps again, they do work, just requires a lot of force to get them in there. I'm guessing typical Chinese Quality Control? Also, mine couldn't be punctured with the spike in the tanko, either the Volcano or the eGo-C. One of my spent Magma tanko spikes that I had removed from the body did work though, so does a toothpick.

The punching of the silicone caps 'is' different. I punched them with the atty in the C type body, but they are much softer and do not punch 'out' as I am accustomed to seeing the harder caps do The silicone ones just clung tightly to the side of the spike in my case. Very small hole when out of the body.
A friend called me yesterday to say she had bought a C starter kit to see what they were all about. She has been using the B Type LR eGo T rig for some months. She said the tanks they had in the kit are already perfectly punched out. They were normal A type tanks, hard bottoms. Wondering if Joyetech has decided to supply all their tanks prepunched now.
I noticed you had one body that the atty holder did not fit flush to the body. I had the same thing with a stainless body but after having that in and out a few times it now fits flush. Perhaps a not perfectly cut thread or a burr in it somewhere keeping it from going all the way up. Like you I had a problem getting one loose to remove and it was that one.

Even if it always has a gap, I'm ok with it, but I don't want to put gorilla torque on it and need to use leverage to open it in the future, nor do I want to bend something. The gap is roughly the thickness of a business card.
My silicone tanks didn't puncture with either of the tankos, I did notice that the hole is incredibly small, it almost "heals" itself, almost.
Pre-punched tank bottoms would be great, but if not, I think the next one I open will be with an amputated spike that I've altered slightly so it should cut a hole 95% of the way around. I'll post photos when I get to that. Right now, it's cold and my workshop has no heat, so I'm probably going to wait until I have to or the weather becomes more hospitable.
Did you happen to try it with a standard Inferno plastic tank cap? If so, did it turn clear liquids dark? It's not noticeable with the silicone cap, only the plastic.

I'm using the blank tanks I bought from Volcano in the C's. I had a couple of translucent (white) ones that had been well used already. I noted that my dark juice cooked onto that bottom sorta. The cap got dark in places. I put a silicone cap on and no more of that nonsense.
After Shado's response to the voltage thing I got out some brand new Volcano Inferno batts, the 1000mAh ones to use on the C bodies. I've had them sitting on my desk for months in the Volcano baggie, waiting for the day when I would need them. They work just like they do on the Tank O's, but being mindful of the Volcano statement that it voids the warranty to use them on other gear I made sure I marked them with small sticky dots on the bottoms so I know which ones were used on the C's.
I do not notice my light colored juices turning dark in the C's, no. But I routinely use a couple that are dark amber in color to begin with and they get darker at the cap and when tipped over the darkness spreads to the rest. They also did that in the Tank O's.
A caveat, I use juice that is 50/50. I have used it all along in my Tank O's successfully and it's also fine in the C's. One of my favorite juices is Tiramisu and it starts out being dark, also my Coffee juice is dark. The Espresso, however is light yellow. It does not darken.
Re the silicone caps and the punch 'healing'. I think it actually helps that that hole is so small. It clings to the spike and I don't see any way it can leak I have tried very hard to get these things to leak and they just don't unless I overpressure them with hard fast draws. That will work on the hard plastic caps. But it does not on the silicone caps. They just flat don't let anything out past the spike. Very refreshing

I did some prowling around on the net. Joyetech distributors call the silicone tank caps 'prevention caps'. They claim they are leakproof. So far I have been unable to make them leak. Who'd have thought....
