Forgive my stupidity (the lavatube is my first vv mod and I'm still learning) but whats the benefit of the single coil? Is it just that you can use it above 4.1v? Wouldn't the dual coil perform just as well (more coils = more vapor?) even at lower voltages? Or is the whole point just to be able to use a tank on the magma or volcano batteries?

Very good question actually. With a 1.5 ohm device like the dual coil. the max voltage will be 3.7-3.8 volts if it meters at 1.5 ohms. That would be 9.375 watts. With the single coil at 3 ohms you can push it to 6 volts which would be 12 watts. Higher wattage will give you more vaper. The dual coils are good on vapor production, but the vape is too cool for me.
