I hope you people at Volcano act on what is happening in your song writing-video contest or some people who deserve to be counted are going to be left out. It is very obvious that certain people had their friends and family and who ever they could find register and vote for them. This is totally not fair in the overall scheme of the contest. Seriously someone from Volcano better pick the top 5. You would have to deaf and blind to go with the votes that are cast right now. The performances are terrible, the talent level is some cases is so bad I can't mention names but see for yourself. Its very easy to pick the top 5. The way the voting is right now is a joke.

Joe.....I cannot express how I couldn't agree with you more. It was very disheartening to log in and see this. It's a shame that this is happening. Volcano throws a contest like this, it shows how awesome they are and people take advantage of it. I'm sad that it's come to this. I know the prize is nothing to sneeze at but it's still all fun. No one should go out of their way to win. You put your video in and hope for the best. I am one of the top 5 as of right now. I can tell you if I win something...I will feel it's a win by default and if I am in a position to do so I will personally pick who deserves it more and give it to them. I haven't wanted to say anything but, I'm glad you did. If I am in the top 5...I would MUCH rather lose to those who deserve it then win because those that weren't in the top 5 weren't given a chance.

all I can say at this moment is that no IP's have been checked or votes removed for violations. We will not be doing that till voting is closed as this is a tedious task, and we would rather only do it once.


I have pointed out this thread to Joe and Mike, so they can talk about it and decide what they want to do.

IN MY HUMBLE OPINION IF ANY OF THESE VIDEO'S AND SONGS DIDN'T MAKE THE TOP 5 YOU NEED TO EXPLORE OTHER OPTIONS. I'M NOT DOING THIS TO SAY MY VIDEO AND SONG!!! IS THE BEST BUT I KNOW I AMOUNG THE ENTRIES TO BE ACCOUNTED FOR AND SO ARE THESE OTHER ARTISTS THAT MAY NOT BE IN THE RUNNING. HERE IS YOUR TOP 4. INCLUDING VIDEO PRODUCTION AND MUSIC. DON'T FORGET IT WAS A SONG WRITING CONTEST NOT A VIDEO FILMING CONTEST. SURE A CERTAIN PERSON'S VIDEO IS OK BUT THEIR MUSIC IS HORRIBLE. THE DRUMS ARE OFF, THE TRACK IS OUT SYNC. ANOTHER ONE OF THE VOTED FOR TOP PICKS HAS A FEMALE VOCALIST WHO CAN'T SING, PLUS HER TRACK IS OFF FROM THE VIDEO LIKE AND OLD BRUCE LEE MOVIE. SONG WRITING CONTEST PEOPLE, NOT FILM SCHOOL.

That Monarch guy's video was pretty awesome too...

There is definately something fishy in the juice, when the top voted song in the songwriting contest has nothing to do with vaping... I would be curious to see how many votes came from members with no posts... You can automate anything, you can fake IPs, I could vote from my phone using a new account each time driving around in my car to snag a few more IPs too... I understand that these contests are about publicity, but if the actual members aren't the ones contributing, then who's going to? There should be a requirement that you have to have at least 50 posts to enter and vote. Otherwise, we end up with professionals spending a weekend trying to make some cash, and a bunch of automated fake votes... That is all...

I liked Joey's and Bella's song the best. Speaking of what Monarch said about people voting with no posts, I'm sure that is happening. I wouldn't go as far as 50 posts. But a good 10, 15 or 20 would be nice.

I don't like this idea, because it would lead to a forum popularity vote. We want new customers to vote on the videos and be more active in the forums. This is why we posted the voting on our home page. In the end, we will make it fair...without changing any of the rules.

Yes im very upset as well I think the blue water inferno song was the best and it only has 8 votes... and as for the top voted one.. im not being rude but i dont know how it got there... yes its a nice video but there are so many great videos and with songs to match. and votes from members without any post is an okay thing because im sure there's lots of customers that have made one just to vote. it is public lol. i just wish there was another way without the member votes to pick the best ones
