Starter Kit Charge Issue
Starter Kit Charge Issue

Starter kit as worked well for two weeks.Plugged in usb charger to computer, red light went on then screwed the volcano battery into the charger and red light on charger went off.End of battery flashed off and on for a few seconds, not taking any charge. Not sure if its the usb charger or the volcano battery that has the problem. But did notice charger was hot.Usually when i charge the battery the two are already together, but the last time i did this no lights appreared on charger or battrey. So thats why i did charger first then battery.I could reorder a charger or a battery but will reorder a new kit to get get both and the two cartomizers, good value !

were you trying to charge the pack when dead and the battery when dead at the same time? i know a while back that caused some people issues, not sure what caused it or if there was a fix for it.

no this is just the express starter kit........just tried to charge it like i always did,but noticed lights off both after a bit and charger was hot, never before would the light go off on the charger just battery when fully charged
i think its the charger because when i screwed on a different battery even though larger the light on the charger once again went off
I will know for sure once the stater kits are back in stock and i get one ordered

the charger would be covered by the warranty.
but what do you mean you screwed a larger battery on to the charger?

tried my inferno 650 pass through just to see if light on chrger would stay on and it did not.........also tried the volcano battery on the charger for the 1000 mAh to see if the end would light up and nothing, then read that charger only good for 1000 mAH battery. just not sure where the problem is,but thinking charger even though it does light up when plugged in and light goes off when attaching the battery ? was just doing trial and error, probably not the best idea but........
this set was gift from the north carolina store so warranty wont work for me.have no problem reordering.....love all the products and havent had a analog since i got my inferno....like the starter kit as the battery looks like the real thing, thx

yeah never swap chargers between models that is a sure fire way of killing something. The screw on chargers are model specific. Some have reversed polarity and others have different power ratios. using the wrong charger can mess up both the battery and the charger.

perfect now i get not to mess around with different chargers and batteries, thx AB.i do have a question i want to order another express starter kit,but out of stock at this time.I could order a v battery and a new charger, but what charger? the one that came with the express kit is a usb charger that looks like the m-charger but in the volcano accessories it shows v charger which totally looks different, will they both work ?

you need the V-USB (the top picture) charger for the volcano batteries. the M-USB charger has a reversed polarity, and you will end up killing your Volcano batts.

thx thats awesome news...any idea if the charger in the express kit is built like the v charger but with just a different housing....looks so similiar to the m charger, short not long
If its only good for the express starter kit i will be better off to get the v batts (top pic) and a few extra v batts and forget about the express starter kit ?

you can use the charger from the express starter kit with any of the Volcano batteries. the only difference between the express kit and the loose items sold on the site are that everything from the express kit is made in the USA while the loose batts and chargers are made in china.
