My take on the LavaTube
by kylereu » Mon Jan 02, 2012 1:30 pm
I have had my black LavaTube now for three weeks, have used it daily since:
Looks:
I really like how this thing looks. It is sleek, it is clean, has a great finish, and it has a very nice placement of the buttons. The LCD screen on it is not that big and I thought that it would cause problems being so small but it doesn't. In fact, its just the right size. The logo on mine has not been affected by wear as some have posted. My logo looks the way it did on day one.
Size:
Well it is actually smaller then I thought it would be. It is perfect size for my hands. I have average size too so its not like I have Shack hands. It does not weigh a lot either, it has a little heft to it but not what you would think. It is made out of aluminum so this helps with the weight but does not skimp in strength.
Performance:
I have yet to have mine die on me. I normally charge my battery at night but there has been a couple of times where I went two full days with out a charge and it still was going strong. This little guy can pump out the vapor too! I have found my sweet spot to be right around 4.1-4.3 and that is normally where I keep mine. The fire button is a nice solid "click" when you use it, just as it should be. I have had no issues with my buttons at all.
Cons:
Really the only thing that I would have liked to see is a spot that would allow a lanyard to connect to it. Its not really that big of a deal but it would have had been nice.
Pros: Yeah look above.
Would I recommend this product:
Yes I do. In fact I just ordered the Magenta one today! This is my first mod so I would recommend this to noobs as well as the advanced. It is very easy to figure out and words will not explain at how amazed you will be.
Good job Volcano

That is really great! I really like the looks of it on the site, can not wait to see the special edition in person! You will love it, it adds a whole new level to our vaping hobby! You get to actually fine tune your gear to your liking, how cool is that! I am not a noob to vaping but sure am to mods, the thing I like the most about the Lavatube is I did not even have to read the directions. It is that easy to use. Don't let the ease fool you though, it will keep you busy for a couple hours going up and down in volts until you find your sweet spot. Then once you found it... put in a whole different flavor of juice and you get to do it all over again! You are going to love it.

I have the black LT, had it since the preorder. I use the 7ml TT with 3.0 ohm single coil cartros. I really like my black LT alot, just thought I would like a spare, can't have enough spares. I like the picture of the magenta LT so I ordered one.

Nice Review and welcome back! Glad you guys are enjoying your LavaTubes! I know I sure am! I loved my black one when I first got it, but once I got the silver one in my hands, I can't put it down!
I too am using the TT w/ the 3.0ohm SC carto. Awesome vape!

Yes the 3.0 ohm single coil cartros for the Tube Tank on the LavaTube is a must! I would not even bother with the dual coils if you are going to be using them on the LT. The single coils with the right ohms will allow you to crank out as much vapor as you can handle... with a few more notches left to crank it up if you want!
