The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the s

Postby zzddevilzz » Thu Apr 14, 2011 9:33 am

Hey guys im new and placed my first order and have a question?

"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on April 12, 2011 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later".???

I ordered this on monday paid $18.00 for the fastest shipping method and it still says this 4 days later
I thought i should of had it by now :?:
BTW i live in New Jersey

A lot of the time, USPS doesn't update their tracking information. They're lazy, I know, but if you don't get it around the expected delivery date (say you asked for 2 day delivery, i'd give it about 4 days), I'd open up a ticket with CS just to find out whats going on. Most people have that message until the package arrives on their doorstep.

You chose wisely to start with the inferno. I ordered a volcano, within a week after that i ordered a magma, and a week after that the inferno. It's a great ecig :)

Good luck though, it's really easy, just takes some dedication for the first couple days.

USPS is bad about updating the tracking info but they always scan and update when it leaves HI.

Please open a ticket with CS that way we have all your info so we can have the shipping department verify that it has been shipped. If it has not then we will take care of it, if it has we will help you with USPS and hopefully find out where it it.

But we need a ticket to be opened.

Log in to your account on the Volcano home page. Then click on the Customer Service tab to the left of your Account dashboard. In that window, you will be able to create a ticket with any questions or concerns you have with your order to send in to CS. Make sure that you don't make multiple tickets for one order. Just keep using the same ticket for the order in question and you will get a faster reply. Hope this helps.

mulkeyowns,
Yes I did get the message

zzddevilzz,
log into your store account, in the portal/dashboard, on the left hand side there will be a Customer Service tab click on it and fill out the form and click submit. That will create a ticket.

Part of the problem with USPS tracking info is that the PO is about 10 years behind everyone else when it comes to technology. The scanners they have are only downloaded when it is returned to it's cradle/charger. Carriers have them out on the street when they go out for delivery in the morning and all the scans for that day aren't downloaded until the carrier returns to the office. And as far as scans indicating exactly where your item is at the moment (between acceptance and delivery) is sketchy at best. Maybe if they raised postal rates sufficiently at one time they could afford some decent technology.
