Thinking of getting a chuck
by Bradc » Mon May 03, 2010 7:29 am
I'm thinking of getting a chuck, something like this: http://thagbuilt.com/
I don't have an issue with the Volcano Batteries, the Magma bats rocks.
But I wanted something that I can get the same amount of Vapor I get out of my passthru, in a Cordless model. This would be for long trips. I know I can use my passthru in my car, but it doesn't seem to have the same power as if it were plugged into a home power outlet.
Can anyone suggest one?

I personally don't know anything about the chuck, it looks cool, and it definitely has a long list of followers. I know my Passthroughs (have a few) work better in the car when I use a better car charger thingy.. (technical term). If I use my cheapo one the vape production is fair, when I use my better one vape production rivals that which I get from home. (is says 2a 1000 mhz on it?) Definitely NOT technologically minded with volts and amps and mhz and the like, but since I have multiple car chargers I tried each and this was what I found worked best. Just a thought.
Good luck

Yeah I was thinking about getting one of those to see if it ups the power. But then I started thinking that it would be nice to have something that will do the same thing without having to be plugged in to an outlet or USB.

LOL, yeah I can see my self using that going down the highway ....LOL.
Yeah it is a Tall order, but 80.00 is the fairly cheap for these chucks.

You should talk to A.Jay.
He made both of my mods for 20 some dollars a piece.
They fit in my pocket with ease, I got to pick LED color, if I even wanted an LED, the atomizer connection, the size of the device, the button of my choice, and they work beautifully.
I'd make my own, but I just don't have the space, tools, or time to do it.
Also, Volcano has a mod on the horizon. It has been mentioned several times in our weekly Q&As, and seems to have everyone's attention.

I have tried a Chuck....not bad.....but it is expensive, and very heavy. Like a PV tire iron.
You can find other mods out there to tinker with a little better cost.

If you just want longer battery life try an eGo. They last 8-12 hours of steady vaping and won't set you back as much as a chuck. I'm loving the Magma atty on my new eGo.
I really hope the Volcano mod is something similar. I get tired of rotating batteries through chargers all day.
