This is gonna be fun... Teaching Vaping to Grandma!

Postby Superfrog » Mon Dec 27, 2010 11:19 am

Ok, got the folks over here, and grandma (my ma) is interested in vaping. Digging out the old manual and auto batteries out of the lab for her, and modding a bunch of carts. (Carts, oh how quaint  ) She tried some of my high octain juices from TV at 24mg and on my 6v mod, she changed colors.

So, gotta make some more normal mixes, so she's also gonna get a crash course in mixing too. This is gonna be a good way to teach what actually makes a PV work.

With the Magma, Inferno, Little Sister, Juice Box, and Indulgence mods to model, and using Magma (and Joye) atties, Cisco, and carto's; she may just leave Rhode Island a true believer :D (and make my VERY anti-tobacco father - ex-smoker with the quit or die oppinion) a bit happier.

Wish me luck!

Good luck with that! It's never too late to quit smoking  .

Any reason why you're going with carts and not cartos? I tend to think cartos work best for a new vaper because they don't have to worry about the modding needed to get carts to work right.

I would second that on the cartos -

I'm fairly new to vaping and my recommendations for a new vaper would be make it EASY -

the first thing I did was buy a manual battery - I know some people love the auto batts but for someone new - a manual battery makes it easier to get the cloud of vapor they're going to want -

the next thing I'm going to get are some cartos because carts are a PITA - if someone is going to overcome a lifelong habit - the replacement needs to be convenient - give granny some cartos!

I got my grandma vaping on the inferno and magma carts. She is 78. Took some showing her, but she got it down and does great

I actually gave my mother-in-law a red USB Inferno a while back. Spent an hour or two showing her how to use it, and then left her with supplies and let her figure it out. She did pretty good. I went back a few days later to check on her and she was having issues figuring out how to change the cartridge (I set her up with Magma blanks I had filled for her). She has not quit smoking analogs, but she does now use her Inferno in bed while watching TV at night and it has cut down her smoking habit from about 2 cartons a week to 2-5 packs a month. Its a helluva improvement. Matter of fact, as I write this it is probably time for me to go refill blanks for her, and take that opportunity to show her how to do it.

Oh, I'll be showing the carto's too (clear of course). But I want to show the carts, since they are sold prefilled. If she can get used to them... on any model... she'll be able to advance to any other method.

That's great!!!!

Been working on my wife's mom, trying to get her to switch. Not quite there yet. I have had my eye on another Inferno PT battery, so I might have an extra to take to her and let her try it.

Well, I just got word, I got Grandma turning to the 'light side'. She's picked up an Inferno Tank, and is liking the Volcano menthol.

So, when you see this, welcome to the family Grandma Frog!

And, when I can, I'll mix up some more of the Y. Peppermint for you.

Yay! I love that our beloved older generations are vaping!!! I would give anything to have had PVs around before my grandparents passed. To watch them try to quit smoking and be so miserable broke my heart. I know they would be very proud of me vaping, though. Heck, I'm proud of me!
