Well, this is the third attempt at quitting smoking (been smoking for 11 years, quit once three years ago for 6 months, again a year ago for... heh... 2 days... and had the Inferno for about 2 weeks now and so far, so good!) - and this time, unlike the last two attempts, I highly doubt that I will ever touch a cigarette again. I already like vaping BETTER than i ever actually enjoyed smoking cigarettes - this is flavorful, exotic and fun - cigarettes were just to feed the addiction.

It's only been two weeks and i've already gone from the volcano to the magnum to the inferno - definitely liking the inferno (i am... heh, WAS... about a pack+ish per day) - i do have a tendency to constantly chain-vape at my computer (i'm a model and a photographer, editing days involve me not leaving my computer from freaking sun up to sun down), but i've noticed that away from my computer already i'm vaping a LOT less than I used to smoke. I love not reeking of cigarettes, i can breathe better already - i'm really thrilled about the whole thing. Had a few defective and tweaky products but just like everything else, it takes a bit of getting used to and finding your niche - and even if i bought a new starter kit every other week, i'm still saving at least $125 a month - which is awesome because my husband and i just bought our first home (he is a new "vape-er" as well, but he was a much more long-term smoker than i was and he's having a harder time with the transition... but baby steps!) and in buying a new house, there's a lot to be done and saving AT LEAST $250/month REALLY HELPS!).

So... awesome - i'm excited - i love this, really don't think i'll ever touch a cigarette again. I haven't since the first day my volcano arrived... nothing's ever worked like that for me. Screw the damn nicotine patch, this is way better! One thing I did notice in the first few days was that even though i was still getting the nicotine that i was used to from cigarettes, i was actually withdrawing from all of the random chemicals in cigarettes and found myself kind of shaky and tense but after about 3 days that went away - 72 hours is the magical addiction-reducing number (or so i've noticed from uhh... previous addictions... clean for 8 years now, btw!) - so advice, be patient - think about what you're doing for your body and your physical appearance, think about the hundreds and hundreds of dollars per month you'll have back in your pocket, and MAKE IT HAPPEN!

rock and roll :)

Glad to hear you're happy with the product and vaping in general, Katie! I wanted to reply because I also chain vape by the computer, and then, next to nothing once I get up from the computer at the end of the day (I work from home). Goes to show how much of it is absent minded when you reach for your smoke (now vape).

Congrats and welcome!

If your going to try it, make sure to chose Volcano first, it too got blue from Blu. Second join the forum to get the info and support you will need! Third as stated previously have fun with it, it's a NEW and EXCITING life change. And my fourth is try the options/diff methods, tanko, clearomizer, cartos, drip, etc. I should have done what's was suggested go big on first or second order. I am on number 4 Internet orders and a few other purchases from my local vape store. Ok here is a fifth, don't be shy about flavors try several...my local vape store has all Volcano flavs in stock as well as another mfg, they have sample trays so it is easy for me.

Same here. I still have my routine, which is really important to me psychologically, I think. When I get in a groove, I happen to enjoy being in that groove, what ever the groove may be. I've been working the same schedule for almost eight years now and people constantly ask me why I would want to get up so early - because it's familiar and since it's familiar I like it.
Initially, I really didn't want to show my new toy off, I didn't totally understand how it works or what the difference between methods is, so I was glad no one asked. Then after about two or three weeks, people started asking me and so far I can take credit for two converts.

I agree with the others, plan on having a big second order. Order an extra battery, a USB pass-through, two spare attys of your liking and I'd suggest one that you don't have but interests you. I.E. you have a drip get a clearo. Have tanks, get a drip... Unfortunately my experience has been when the atty decides to give up the ghost, it does so fairly quick.
Buy at least a syringe or a needle bottle cap. In fact, I really think Volcano should up the price $5 on the starter kits and include a needle cap/syringe at least if you buy a tankomizer.
Definitely grab some extra flavors. I realize they're phasing them out, but I bought a bunch of carts with the intention of just trying them. At $0.99/ea I figured I couldn't go wrong. Carts still suck, I've actually been using the syringe to extract the liquid and then dripping it or transferring it to a tanko. Each additional order, I purchased a 15ml bottle of a flavor I haven't tried. I can't say there's any I dislike, although there are a few flavors I wouldn't order again - just not my taste.

Also, sometimes I've wondered if I'm actually saving money or not. Use Excel or Google Spreadsheet. Each row is one month. Column 1 is your old cost (days in month X cost per pack if pack a day smoker), column 2 is what you spent that month on Volcano products and column 3 would be Column 2 subtracted from Column 1. The first month the last column will probably be negative, but after that you'll see that you're saving some significant bucks. After four orders and working on my second full month I'm $83 to the good and that includes the initial layout from the first month that put me $113 in the hole. Think I'll take the family out to the steak house and celebrate. Or maybe I'll just buy a really good bottle of wine or a couple cases of beer...
In the future, expect to save about $130 a month and it feels darn good knowing I'm keeping $30+ a month from the state whom could should take a lesson or two about spending from a drunken sailor.
I also buy a lot less crappy convenience store food for breakfast, so I'm probably saving close to double what the cost difference between the old and new works out to on paper.
