Thanks on the link. I didn't think of cutting my clear which would allow it to stick up a bit more. I was origanally planning on later ordering a couple more TT's and trimming my current tank down by abou 1/4 inch. Which I still might try since I'm thinking the clear guts and tube occupy less space than does the original polyfill. So i doubt I'd lose much juice storage.

I'd like to get some thoughts and comments... whenever I find a new device (ie tanks, clearomizers, tube tanks etc.) I tend to get stuck on it and right now it's the tube tank. So I've been waiting for the 3.0 SCC to come in for the past couple of weeks and in the mean time I've been using my old ones to hold me over but they were starting to taste really nasty. A couple of days ago I tried running them through very hot water for about 10 mins and shaking them out then letting them dry over night. At first they worked and tasted almost new but halfway through the day they started tasting gross again. So yesterday I decided to try putting them in boiling water, I filled a small pot about 1/3 full of water put 4 cartos in boiling water for about 20 minutes stiring occassionly then after the water darkend I'd change it to fresh water and repeat the process one more time. Afterwards I used paper towels to soak up as much of the water as I could out of the cartos then I held them under my hair dryer for about 10 minutes and let them sit over night. I've only used one so far today but it works and tastes totally fine. My question is has anyone else tried this? Do you think this could help prevent the mold from growing? Once the replacements come in I'll throw these out so I'm hoping this should be okay for a week maybe 2. Thanks! :)
