Tube Tank Priming Made Easy

Postby Maddoktor2 » Sat Dec 03, 2011 1:29 am

This is a quick and dirty method for priming the DCC in your Tube Tank when it starts running dry:

1) Remove the Drip Tip and push down on the top of the carto, which will separate the carto's base flange from the tank's body.
2) Grasp the flange and gently pull the carto out of the tank slowly until the open end of the carto is level with the juice in the tank.
3) Continue pulling slowly on the flange - you'll see a juice meniscus form around the open end of the carto.
4) Pull some more, and the juice in the tank will "dump" into the carto around the edge of the opening (fluid physics kicks in here and prevents the juice from getting into the center hole and flooding it - the juice stays around the edge of the opening and the inside surface of the shell).
5) Repeat until you can see that the top of the filler is saturated, and you're done. You may get a drop or two of juice out of the hole in the threaded end of the carto at this point - this is normal, and indicates that the filler is completely saturated - simply blot with tissue until dry.
6) Replace the carto in the tank (top off the tank at this point if desired), reinstall the Drip Tip, and vape away!

That technique is worth a try. I normally drip some juice in and then take several dry pulls and that seems to work. Except for the rare occasion when I pass out from too many pulls! JK
