So what do we know so far about them?

-They will not be E2 at first as previously thought (confirmed 9/8/2010 in chat).
-They will either be SLB or Boge Style (assumption).
-They will be Low Res cartos (mentioned in the past but never re-confirmed).
-They will be in stock by the end of Sept. 2010. (Joe promised!)
-They will come in a blister pack of 5. (Confirmed again by pics in chat 9/8/2010)
-They will have a needle tip included to fill them (not re-confirmed, this might have only been if they were E2)


Anyone else heard differently?

they will be slb, not boge, and they will be similiar in resistance to the magma atty which is technically lr, but not quite...

and i want them. i really really want them.

I have some SLB's at home.. never checked the resistance on them but will definitely do so tonight for comparison.

Saw on another post from DaveJ that they will be SLB.

I checked out a loooong thread on another forum about the E2 cartos and it looks interesting but alsoseems to me they are still working through some issues.

BTW, When they have a new product release how does it happen? does it just show up in the store one day? or is there some sort of heads up a few days before.

Often, they show up in the store; there are times a thread will be posted or someone will let people know in one of the chats (minichat on forum or vapersplace). I know they're hesitant to give solid dates because there's variability in delivery times with overseas suppliers...and there's always the FDA to screw things up...

LR cartos sounds good although I've never tried any. I have been dripping on LR1.5 attys I won in the online raffle during MW Vapefest and love that I can take shorter draws with nice vapor.
Cuts down on those long awkward pauses during conversations while vaping.

I'm not too sure how 'LR' they will be. I know there are 1.5 - 2.0 LR cartos out there, but if they design these closer to the Magma attys they will be in the 2.0 - 2.3 range. I guess we won't know til they are in our hands but its fun to speculate.

Both the standard SLB and Boge Cartomizers as currently sold through most ecig vendor are rated by the manufacturers as roughly 3ohms of resistance, as I reported in my initial review of my experiences with them back in July.

There are also some vendors selling cartomizers that are supposed to be 'low resistance', with claims of 1.6-1.7 ohms, similar to LR atomizers, although many people report that they are problematic, with frequent burning issues, hard to keep wet, and short lifespans.

If Volcano says they have contracted their carto supplier to provide them in a resistance similar to the Magma, that would make a great improvement, IMHO!

I am confident they will be the 510 cartomizers to get. I like these SLBs I have but these are gonna be great. Come on get here!
