Volcano Points Question
by Sigglez » Wed May 25, 2011 4:31 pm
Had a quick question about the points you earn per purchase, i tried to look around the site for a FAQ section (might be a good idea in the future), anyways, what are they for? I can't seem to find a catalog for rewards or even a purpose for them.

Mahalo! (man I wish I was in Hawaii) And welcome to the forum!
Every purchase you make earns you points. You then have the option to cash those points in on future purchases when you check-out. I believe you get $1 off for every 5 points that you have. Some people cash these in every purchase, and some save them so that they can make a fairly large purchase for free (except that they can't be applied to shipping charges).
If you buy a lot (like me

Points can also be given as a gift.

Some people need a sympathetic pat..... on the head..... with a really big hammer..... next to a very high cliff..... above really sharp spikes.

True, good point!
They can also be used in trade. Visit the "Tradewinds" section of the forum if you're interested.

It's $0.05 for every $1 you spend.
But you can only use it whole dollar amounts, and you only accumulate them in full point amounts, @ $0.20 a point.
If that makes it any less clear.
