Voltage Settings

Postby TheStraubulous » Wed Feb 08, 2012 11:02 am

Ok so I just got my Lavatube. I have the Atty it came with, a 7ml tubetank and a pack of Mega clearos. I was curious what voltage to use with those. I think I saw clearos at 4.0-4.2 but that tastes kind of burnt. I have been using around 3.3.

Also wanted to ask how the clearos suck in the juice. Is there a small hole like on the TT cartos?

what do you mean how do the clearos suck in juice?

the clearos have wicks in them that bring the juice up to the coil at the top. when the coil heats up, the liquid gets heated and vaporized.

its all personal preference really, but here is my sweet spots.

3.0 Lavatube atty = 5.3v

TT with 1.5ohm DCC= 3.9v

TT with 3.0ohm SCC= 5.3v

Clearos= 4.7v anything higher than 5.0 really gets a bit to hot and I found if you are a heavy vaper you can and will warp the clear tube for the heat. If you are a light vaper you can probably go a bit higher but long vape sessions can mkae them get too hot and warp the tube making them leak.

diagram I made.

F is the coil

G is the wick

the juice is wicked up by the wick though the inner cup seal (E) to the coil. The juice is under the coil and cup and held in with by the cup seal.

The cup seal has two notches in it that the wick runs through. One issue many people run into is they push the cup seal in to far and it pinches the wick off so they dont wick well and give that burnt taste. Just pulling the seal back up a little will help fix that issue.

thank you, I have one for every atty type we sell.

made them for a project I am working on in the background or the forum.... very slowly as I dont get much time to work on it. One day I will start releasing parts of it as I get them done. But I figured since I have them I might as well use them now when I can to help. If things slow down a little bit I migth have the atty sections done and posted to the public eye by the end of the month. but we will have to see. Friday will be a big tell on how much time I have. This bill thing and getting the word out and informing so many people and groups eats up a lot of my time.

Who would have thought that those college year of being an activist would come in handy years later. Some of my connections are still relevant and very helpful getting the info out there.
