Wattage, Ohm, chart for LavaTube...
by Shado » Wed Nov 30, 2011 6:34 pm
Ok...gang....here ya go....I made an excel chart that will show you watts, ohm, volts, amps for your LavaTube!!!
This will allow you to look up your atty ohms and see/decide what volts to set your LT at......and gives you the watts used and amps.
I am updating this one to accomodate attys up to 5 ohms this week....but this will do just fine for most folks.
Have fun!!!!
Rockclimb will be posting with a link for downloading....shortley...

Here is a link to the file. Handy to use a reference with your Lavatube. Great job Shado!

thanks guys learned a lot about some of my vaping gear where i was unsure of the limit in voltage to be used before the safety was kicked on with the lava tube

The top of the chart is where you start, by looking up your atty's resistance (ohms). From there you move down until you hit the red box (this is showing the about 2.5 amperage limit cut off point.) Then check the left column for voltage. That is the max voltage you can go to before the Lavatube's circuit protection kicks in.
Example, if you have the Tube Tank. That is 1.5 Ohms. So you go across the top to 1.5. Now move down to the red box (where you cross the 2.5 amp point). Going left to the voltage column you see it is 3.8v. This means when you bring the lavatube to 3.8v with a 1.5 ohm atomizer (Such as the aforementioned tube tank, or a typical low rez atomizer) you will begin to trigger the protection.
If you follow the full chart you'll see that using either a normal magma atty (used to be 2.3 ohm, but I vaguely recall something about them being over 2.5 recently) you might hit the limit going all the way to 6v, and with a Lavatube atty (3 ohm) you will never hit the limit.
Artist Boy, if you could, post the link to your list of all the batts and atties specs, I can't find it atm.
