I used too, but I started using a drip tip in place of the white cap and all is better now.

When using a DT on a clearo I usually leave off the little ring that covers the two little filling holes. It works for me fairly well like that. Also, if your draw is fairly light like mine you can usually feel it catch before it does that, if you have a manual battery I find that if you just blow down a split second while holding the button down it'll generally stop it from popping. Lastly, clearos do put out quite a bit of vapor that will condense on the little white cap and the space in between, it's good to wipe that out once in a while. I still prefer them without the DT personally, they just take a little more looking after doing it that way.

Mine will pop sometimes, but the occurrences are so far and few between it is still surprising when it happens. I carve the white caps out a bit with a blade to get more vapor through - so that's the price I pay. I'm not sure if this something that can be addressed though. Liquid and heat together. Stupid physics always doing what they're supposed to do.

I have discovered that most of the time, it is not liquid popping up... it is usually condensation. You have a liquid heating up and it is in a fairly enclosed place in which you are pulling vapor through. Usually if you just inhale for a moment longer once you release the button (if using a manual) this will help clear the vapor and cut down on condensation. Also using a drop tip helps cut down on condensation as well since there is a little more airflow and it can dry out. Condensation unfortunately is a part of vaping that we all have to deal with (some better than others) and we find different tricks to it.

after filling clearo do you have to put the inner cap back in that covers the two filling holes ? not much room left for DT. does that cap serve any purpose ? using reg size clearo's

it's not necessary to function correctly. some people feel it prevents leaking more because the fill holes aren't exposed, but most people don't think it makes any difference.
